Super Bowl Shmooper Bowl

I’ve gone from ‘fuck the Eagles’ to ‘fuck this game’ to ‘fuck Rihanna’ to ‘maybe I’ll ski that day’ to ‘yeah, I might watch a little’. Watching the Super Bowl after coming so close yet again to the big party really is a fucking drag. The last couple NFC championship games, plus the KC loss just make this painful beyond reason. Throw in the debacle in 2012 and you have plenty of heartbreak and sadness. The only thing that warms my heart about any of this is the fact we have beaten Dallas twice, Seattle, and Green Bay and thwarted their playoff runs.

The game? Meh. Fuck the Eagles. Say what you will about their season, it was full of creampuffs, Daniel Jones, and Josh Johnson. Pisser to it all is this season really came down to the horrible loss to Denver. With that game and we likely have the bye week instead of Philly.

But, fuck that. Can’t go down the woulda coulda shoulda route. Here’s to hoping KC smokes the Eagles and their annoying as fuck fans.

All-time great terrible movie. Saw this in the theater. Robert Shaw finding another weird way to die in a flick. Actual players. I think.

Super Bowl sunday is the best day to ski. I was hitting the knee deep powder in Tahoe over the weekend. You should check it.

Going to Montana next week. Haven’t been to Tahoe yet this season.

Can’t find the article but J Lynch says the Niners would have beat Phylly if they were healthy

  5. unca_chuck says:

Well, that kinda goes without saying coming from Lynch. But we’ll never know.

As of now, the prognosis is that Purdy will go through the rebuild rather than the reconstruction (TJ) surgery. So , he looks to be on the mend close to the start of the 2023 season.

“In an instance like this, there’s a lot of smart people out there,” general manager John Lynch said at the team’s end-of-season press conference. “You want to make sure you’re thorough. He’s continuing to go through that process.

“I think the positive bit of news is that it seems to be consistent that the right approach is that one that takes about that six-month mark. Now, everybody will also say you never know until you get in there. Every surgeon will tell you that on every surgery. You always like getting in to see exactly—the MRI tells you a lot of the picture.

“So they’re continuing to work through that process, but we seem encouraged by the prognosis that that’s kind of where it’s at.”

Purdy recently expressed hope that he will be ready for the 2023 season.

“If that is the case … I’ll be ready come [training] camp, and honestly, what matters to me most is being able to play for the season,” the quarterback said last week.

    So that’s good.

    49ers defense will remain elite!
They are hiring DC/HC Steve Wilks for the defensive coordinator position.
Hell he evened helped orchestrate the trade for CMC now he joins the team, a double bonus!
And an added bonus if Wilks being of color the Niners continue their great job of adding a comp pick if he moves on eventually with a HC offer..
I’m stoked with this hire, the best choice available, welcome to Niners Nation Steve!

I think it’s a good hire too. Change is usually hard at first but hopefully everyone gets on board.
