Great Win, But What the Actual Fuck?

I really really want to be happy about this win, but as usual, Kyle Shanahan sucks the life out of this win with a needless injury to one of our star players. Jordan Mason, a stud of a running back, who is averaging 5.4 yards a pop, was of course on the sidelines while Kyle Shanahan though, hmmmm, how did I injure my future QB? Oh, yeah, putting him in harm’s way by having him run up the middle against 320 lb defensive linemen.

Unsurprisingly, Deebo got rolled up on by a 320 lb guy and sustained an ankle injury. Don’t know how bad, but Deebo was very upset and crying coming iff the field on a cart. Shanahan is so smart that he’s outsmarting himself. Use your fucking RB to run! What a thought.

I’m sure I’ll feel better about the amazing game that Purdy, CMC, and the defense pitched, but at this point I’m just supremely frustrated that Shanahan thinks he can just use these guys up and let them get ground down needlessly. Fuck.

Word is, high ankle sprain for Deebo. Very very good news. But likely out 4-6 weeks.

Jerry Rice tweeted stop running your best player up the middle

My son, seconds before that play, said, where’s Mason? He should be in for this.

  4. Winder says:

I don’t think Shanny thinks things out. And if he keeps running Purdy up the middle it will happen to him too.

  5. unca_chuck says:

Shanny treats his players like they are all interchangeable toys. Ooops. Broke one.

Annoying as FUCK that Mason is on the bench while Shanny overuses CMC and then runs fucking Deebo up the middle.

When you’re up big there should be no reason your starters should still be in the game ( even BOSA and a lot of the D line were still in there longer than needed late)! Deebo’s injury a high ankle sprain was hard to watch and avoidable imo if your just using Mason and I don’t know if he was activated but Price? as well pounding the rock..
Oh now some more breaking news they don’t need..Brock Purdy getting an MRI on an oblique strain suffered on the second drive when he dove for a 1st down which was called back on a holding call, but gutted it out of course. WTF short week they play Seattle on Thursday now Purdy alittle banged up? I’m sure he starts, but still #4 QB Josh Johnson better gets some reps as well.

Shanahan does not know how to manage his players or the scoreboard. That Superbowl with the Falcons really fucked him up.

Mason should be getting a LOT more reps earlier in games. There was no need to run Deebo up 28-0 early in the 3rd quarter. Stupid needless play that got him hurt.
