The Injury Parade Continues . . . Game Day Armageddon

Deebo, Greenlaw, AA, and Juice are all out for the Ram game. Jennings and Verrett are questionable. I guess this means that are gonna play 2nd round pick Danny Gray. Too bad he runs faster than Jimmy can throw, but that’s a different tale. Didn’t even know Deebo was hurting but he pulled a hammy somewhere along the KC game. Juice of course dislocated a finger in the game, and he was on the sideline getting the finger straightened. Funny, when Iwas a kid, this happened to me a lot, and as long as I could find someone to yank it back straight, we went right on playing. But, whatevs.

Ward, Ebukan, and Williams are all full participants. Mooney Ward isn’t on the list so I guess that means he’s good to go? I don’t know.

The Rams on the other hand have guys out due to the dreaded ‘person matter’. Disgruntled RB Cam Akers is out, as well as linebacker Terrell Lewis. Don’t know what it will take to get them gruntled again but they didn’t practice.

Other than that, they are healthy. Of course. We invariably lead the league in injuries year in and year out, so naturally the people in charge simply ignore this fact.

Oh well. I guess we are due to play a good game? Since we are the love rollercoaster team of destiny. I don’t fucking know anymore. It’s a home game of sorts so there’s that. It’s fairly easy now to just let these games slide by as I still have absolutely no faith in Jimmy or Shanahan to put together a complete game anymore. They’ve blown 3 games they should have won, and now they have to play a few tough teams now.

Woo hoo! Go team! And take the coach with you!

If nothing else these last few games have shown me not to expect anything remotely like good football. I am beginning to believe we need another change at the top. I guess I have been expecting a lot more than I have seen. If we stomp the Rams I will be happy for at least a week. I don’t think you can just erase sloppy football so easily.

  2. alleykat69 says:

Might be 3-4 and a game back but the 49ers are still undefeated in division play at 2-0 the stat that matters the most.Rams suck the Niners own their sorry asses , more physical team, an early season sweep 🧹 coming even without Deebo.
Stafford is just as bad as Jimmy and he only has Amish boy, and Higbee with no running game, their toast..imo

  3. Winder says:

chuck= hope you had a great time at the show last night. Never to old to dose.

  4. unca_chuck says:

Yeah, we had a blast. The show was excellent. I’ll try to post some stuff. Didn’t really trip, but just couldn’t stop smiling.

  5. unca_chuck says:

Can these guys put together a complete game? As usual, it’s the lines that will determine this. And whether Jimmy turns the ball over.

No faith in this team anymore. I think Shanahan is gona be getting heat if they lay another offensive turd. He’d better.

  6. Irish Kevin says:

With all the injuries not sure how this game will go, Chuck I have more faith in JG than in Kyle, he needs an offensive coordinator.

  7. Irish Kevin says:

    Run, run, run

  8. Irish Kevin says:

Kyle learned nothing from last week

  9. Irish Kevin says:

Screens killed the Niners last week, Defense to quick off the line

  10. alleykat69 says:

Bunch of BS 2 penalties on the goal line 17 plays to get Stafford barely in refs can eat shit giving them free extra plays!

  11. Irish Kevin says:

Rams learned from the KC game how to put up points against the Niners

  12. alleykat69 says:

Jimmy 7-7 on that drive as CMC is paying used dividends with a TD throw and now a TD catch!
Niners are tightening up on Defense as well!!
    Let’s Gooooooo!!!!

  13. Irish Kevin says:

It appears the Niners still own the Rams

  14. Barleyfreak says:

Running McCaffrey up the middle three times in a row, with a three score lead, and less than 5 minutes. Shanahan is an idiot. He’s our new most valuable player. And he came at a high cost. Wtf?

  15. alleykat69 says:

Could say the same with McVay leaving Kupp in who almost blew out his ankle down 2 scores with no chance of a comeback late.

  16. Winder says:

Looks like we played a good game today. Happy for the team.

  17. Berger says:

IMO, we lost last week and the week before because we got dominated in the trenches. We need Armstead and Kinlaw back. Also, KC killed us with the screen when Greenlaw went down. Rams were hurting us with the screen and the went away from it. Thank you. We need Greenlaw back.

We didn’t dominate the trenches today but at least we did not get dominated like vs ATL and KC. Christian McCaffrey was the difference. He went Deebo n the Rams.

I thought the Rams had paid the refs in the 1st half. The league must’ve called at halftime and told them it was looking obvious! LOL!

For once we were the team to adjust. The big dif was Ryans started blitzing in the 2nd half. After we finally hit Stafford he went into the tank. And we started playing the short passing game up tighter.

McCaffery is a game-changer. His runs off tackle all got 5-6 yards or more. He usually breaks the first two tacklers.

  19. Winder says:

Wow I missed a hell of a game. Just watching the highlights the Niners were very impressive. McCaffrey is still special I kinda had my doubts about that but he did everything today.

  20. unca_chuck says:

They actually were the team to adjust. That fact alone is encouraging. They ramped up the pressure on Stafford and were able to rattle him in the 2nd half.

    New thread is up.
