Solid win over an overmatched opponent, but as you all may have heard, Skeebers, the guy who ran the 49ersOutsider blog, and frequent nemesis of mine and others, passed away on December 11. Skeebs was a very good writer, and for the most part his stuff was enjoyable. We frequently butted heads over tangential bullshit, but the man was a true 49er fan whose faithfulness to the team was readily apparent. Funny thing is I’m still banned, I guess in perpetuity, but I hope Skeebette sees the words caught in the anti-unca filter.
So, Thursday night before the kickoff with the Titans, raise a toast to Steve, and drink in his honor.
Good night sweet prince.
Here is Skeeb’s obituary

chuck I agree with everything you said in this post. It is just another reality check. People our age are dropping like flies. Skeebs wasn’t that old. My wife was born in 46 and she passed in 2010. You just never know. I am truly grateful that you run this blog I have a lot of fun here and spend a lot of time here. Thanks.
Thanks, Winder. There are times it feels like I’m writing to the void.
I wonder if Bullitt and Grumpy will come over. Spitblood and Flying V are still lurking!
Sorry about your wife. That is too young.
Thanks. That was to young but cancer doesn’t care.
Yes, death comes for us all, sorry for your loss Winder, my mom is still here at 96 yrs old. Has all her faculties, except now she is becoming more forgetful. No one can explain why some die young and others die after a full life. Had a very good friend/coworker have a massive heart attack at age 38. Terrible loss.
Wow, sounds like your mom is in wonderful shape. I know people in their early 70’s that already have early onset dementia/Alzheimer’s. Pretty sure in my case everything that has happened to me is just sins of the youth.
Here here to a 9ers game toast to Skeebs on Thursday night.
Least we can do.
Just buried a 51 year old member of our family last week. Never a good time, especially around the holidays.
Heaven needs Angels too. The Lord’s work is eternal.
Celebrate their lives and memories, make every day count.
Tomorrow is promised to no one.
I left Skeebers blog when they went way over the top taking Harbaugh’s side when he left. Harbaugh scorched the Earth on the way out. Still, Skeebs was an excellent and witty writer. He will be missed. I know I enjoyed reading his writings.
BTW, I will toast to him during the 49ers game on Thursday.
Good to see you again Berger, hope all is well. Long time.
Stick around a while, Bergs. Got us a weird season going on here.
Baalke did Harbaugh no favors with a lot of thin drafts. Still and all, Harbs wanted the Michigan job above all else and took a flamethrower to the place.
Three yards and a cloud of dust will only take you so far. Harbs had a nice run but the writing was on the wall.
new thread.
