Game Day 12 — Winless in Seattle

Just to be the bringer of bad news, the 49ers are 1-10 in Seattle since the 2012 season, including that horrific 2013 playoff loss. But here we are in the playoff hunt while Seattle is the one looking up at everyone in the NFC West. As we have seen, fortunes can change quickly in this parity-ridden NFL landscape. Russell Wilson, coming off his finger injury, cannot carry this team these days as the Seattle defense gives up tons of yards, and the offense is struggling to score points.

All that being said, I hate playing up there, and as noted we just don’t do well up there in Grunge country. This will be yet another game that we should win. Yet we also need to do what has worked recently. Control the clock. Run well and run often. Throw quick psses between the numbers and minimize getting Jimmy into bad 3rd and long situations.

Deebo is out, but Aiyuk has been performing up to his standards of last year. Mitchell is lead back, Wilson and Hasty will back him up as Sermon is hurt again. Time to get Kittle back into the mix as he has been forgotten as an option in the passing game.

And as usual avoid the turnovers. The only thing keeping Seattle in their games is the fact they get a lot of turnovers even as they give up tons of yards. As usual the fans will be up for this so we need to get the crowd out of the game and life will be much easier. They have turned on their team so get them down early and keep them down.

27-10 Niners.

This is just plain embarrassing now

Who’s on the take with that call?
Clearly Aiyuk had possession, how many steps does he need to reach the space needle?
Refs are surely affected by this 12th man BS!!

    This one’s over, boys.

Well it was nice to have the playoffs in sight for one game

It doesn’t matter how bad Seattle is, the 49ers just can’t win here. Don’t see that ever changing. What a pathetic and embarrassing performance in a game that started pretty well. Kyle Shanahan teams are the most ill-prepared teams you’ll find in the NFL. And JG needs to go away, now. He’s never going to be the answer at QB, so why keep running him out there? More Shanahan shenanigans as he tries to delude himself into believing JG is the guy. The guy is average at best.

A 3-8 team and the Niners are struggling!

And now they’re turning it around.

The officiating has killed them in this game.

Kittle and Auiyu the only bright spots

  10. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Only when Kyle is backed into a corner does he call plays that he should have been calling all game long

    No holding???

Refs totally in on this game. Sherfield was held AND PI’ed..

  13. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

And end the end they choke the chicken!!!!
That was some mugging Sherfield took in the endzone on 3 rd and goal, of course no pass interference call as the refs had their whistles so far down their throats and their yellow flags stitched inside their pants.. But fuck it they deserved to lose to a shit Seahawks squad that will always own them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still in the last playoff spot. This game doesn’t really hurt us if we can pull our heads out.

Aiyuk’s ball earlier was a catch. The game is hard enough without the horrible officiating. Tomlinson gets a holding call for doing absolutely nothing. Bosa and Armstead were held about 12 times with no call. And of course Sherfield in the end zone held his whole route and PI on the throw with no call.

Plus our own stupid penalties. Fuck Seattle.

The good news is that Aiyuk is clearly coming on. He was good today and has been recently, playing tough and catching all the high throws from the awful JG.

Yeah, Seattle is it’s usual house of horrors self. Special teams has been a real black hole these last couple weeks.

The pass rush was strong early, but wasn’t near as effective later. Too many fucking mistakes. We let them back in the game and just gave the ball away too many times..

Fuck Seattle. That was their super bowl this year.

Kittle had a great game and so did Aiyuk. Just so fucking tired of the inconsistent officiating. And the inconsistent play of Jimmy G. Would have liked to see Lance ion that 4th and 1 play that was fucked up by Mack. He actually saved the day by doing that..

We have Jared Goff and the one-win Lions for our spot in the 7 hole. Still on the right side of the playoff hunt.
