House of Horrors

Don’t really want to rehash the fucking car-wreck that was this game, but yeah, what a fucking nightmare. Everyone caught a whiff of the stench that is this loss. Special teams, offense, defense, coaching, and officiating.

Funny thing is, we had a 23-14 lead late in the 2nd quarter. Then we proceeded to give up 16 unanswered points. Seems like the missed extra point really derailed our team. Whatever. Crazy fucking shit always happens in Seattle. Most consistently terrible is the officiating.

Seattle of course played this balls-to-the-wall as they always do against us, and Russell Wilson is 16-5 in his time as the Seattle QB. and we are 1-11 in our last 12 games there. So I guess we should be happy they are out of the playoff hunt if we somehow make it, we won’t have to end up in our little stadium of horrors.

Plusses are Kittle and Aiyuk both getting involved in the offense. The D created a lot of turnovers, and if not for the special teams giving away 8 points, well, the outcome may have been different.

They just need to get the funk of this game out of their jerseys and move on. Cincinnati on the road looks pretty challenging and they can score a lot.

Thanks to Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions, we are still in the playoff picture as the Vikings dropped to 5-7.

Yeah, it started with the D at the end of the half, players know not to hit the QB, not only did the Niners do it twice, but the second one the guy pile drove Wilson into the ground, without those penalties Seattle might not have scored, and the score would have remained 24-14. With that said you cannot be held scoreless for a whole half, not even a FG…come on Kyle.

  2. unca_chuck says:

Once again a coach goes for it on 4th down deep in enemy territory. Vic Fangio says “We can’t kick FGs here” as he fails on 4th down to end the 1st half.

Take the points on the road. That used to be carved in stone. What happens is the Broncos will be chasing points that they lost through the rest of the game. Which means more 4th down risks. Which usually leads to losses.

Starting the 2nd half still with the lead and the ball first to build confidence levels back up ended in pffftttt a killer fumble turnover by Benjamin! This team just can’t help themselves with stupid shit like that and 4 turnovers are always hard to overcome..

  4. unca_chuck says:

    Denver’s chasing points. They
donlybe down 1 score had they kicked te FG.

A pile of errors and blame as you say to go around. But the ref swallowing his whistle as Sherfield was being mauled…right in front of the spineless f*CK ref… was ultimately the game. I mean, at the end of the game, they were right there. To not call that obvious PI, was just inexcusable. Maybe we lose in OT, but the players get to decide that. Not the refs. What a spineless f*ck.

I get it, mistakes happen. Good teams overcome them. We were poised to. Refs have to call what they see, no matter the situation. But some of them just can’t rise above the noise. Pathetic.

The great equalizer – Officiating and the Vegas influence.
Another week of watching Jimmeh throw balls to imaginary 9′ tall receivers too.
Tired of the stigma in Seattle and, the lack of imagination Shanny has to overcome it.
        Pete owns Kyle.
        Ken Norton Jr owns Kyle.
Shanny is a one trick dick.

9ers in Seattle…..Same as it ever was –

  7. Irish Kevin says:

I don’t blame this all on Kyle. What it shows is JG does not handle pressure well. All of his interceptions are him not seeing the D players. He just tosses it up there and hopes for the best

    • unca_chuck says:

Not all of it, but the repeated stupid fucking drive-extending penalties and horrible special teams play all point to coaching. The 49ers could have overcome the picks, the fumble to start the 3rd quarter, the blown punt coverage, or the penalties, but not all of them at the same time.

This team in ALL of these losses, makes fatal mistakes that turn the tide against them.

  8. unca_chuck says:

Yeah, just another game where Carroll made adjustments, negated our pass rush, and stopped our offense in the second half while we fumbled and stumbled our way to nowhere.

We of course tripped over our dicks for 2.5 quarters and were shut out till the defense sagged late and we, well, almost tied it.

Big assist to the refs on this one. Like I said, we have a hard enough time winning in Seattle without all the stupid mistakes. 10 penalties, 2 picks and a fumble.

Early on, as Seattle was defending the run, Shanny actually did a good job of getting the ball to Kittle. By the 2nd half that vanished. All about the adjustments.

Crazy thing is, McVay > Carroll (6-3); Carroll > Shanny (7-2); Shanny > McVay (6-2).

  9. unca_chuck says:

I’ll say this, once Moseley got hurt, we were toast. Lenoir and Norman were burnt regularly.nd you can chalk that up to the 2nd pick jimmy threw (and missed a wide open Sherfield) as the injury came on the 1st play after the pick.

  10. unca_chuck says:

Lenoir sure looks like a bust. And where is Ambry Thomas?

  11. Winder says:

Coaching seems to be the major problem to me turnovers and penalties are just by products. I don’t know what can be done with the fucking refs but when in Seattle it should be expected that they suck. I have always thought that some refs are on the take. Just human nature for assholes.

  12. unca_chuck says:

Well, the hits on Wilson were just plain stupid. Johnson’s hit was a bit questionable as every running back on just about every play gets hit like that. Stupid flag there. But Tomlinson’s holding call was absolutely bullshit as he was standing next to Mack doing nothing.

When you see Bsa getting wrapped around the neck about 9-20 times with no flag, it is infuriating.

  13. alleykat69 says:

And of course the hits just coming with the 49ers!
It’s reported that Elijah Mitchell will start the week in concussion protocol!
Jesus how the fuck was he allowed back into the game after he took a forearm shiver to his head/ helmet? Shanahan and the team doctor have some explaining to due?

  14. unca_chuck says:

This training staff needs to be tossed along with ST coach Richard Hightower.

How he still has a job baffles me.

  15. unca_chuck says:

And the story with Ambry Thomas defies explanation. Hw still isn’t in ‘game shape’ because he didn’t play last year due to COVID.

Sooooo, you didn’t see this as an issue to deal with down the road? Lenoir is a wreck and we have to trot out Norman because Moseley os out for at least 3 weeks with a high ankle sprain.

Fuck, man, we need a new coaching staff and front office.

    • Winder says:

Yeah, we are a mess. Not sure how to get out of it without going back to the drawing board. Just a sad situation but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before.

  16. unca_chuck says:

this game against the pass-happy Bengals looks to be ugly. Unless we can control the clock.
