We have two more slots to fill. Most intriguing guy to me is safety Jared Mayden. He’s young and talented, and may be called up soon. I’m a little surprised he made it through waivers. Sullivan is another young guy wecan likely turn into something.
Guys like Benjamin and Carcraft will likely be game-day call-ups as needed. Barrett is a pretty solid guy, we just have so much line depth he can’t squeeze into the lineup.
Gutierrez is part of some kind of diversity program for foreign players, sohe doesn’t count against any kind of body count.
The rest, Sudfeld, McKivitz, Matthews, are known entities, or complete unknowns like Hudson and Virgin.
One of those spots should go to Ha Ha.
that’s a really solid taxi squad.
i love the 16 player TS from the old 10 player squad. We got some meat for the Oline sitting there. They must see something in Hudson because they wasted no time in swooping him up.
Nice to see Matthews in there. The way Kittle gets hurt, he could end up being an important piece and he had a great camp by most accounts. I’d like to see Ha Ha on there as well.
Yeah, expanding it to more veteran players also helps.
Fucking Word Press changed the settings and I can’t find where to change the header for the comment box.
Yeah pretty solid taxi squad I’m glad they were able to keep Mayden, McKivitz and Matthew s for TE depth and of course Sudfield , hey someone needs to throw the ball in practice. Surprised they kept an older Compton over McKivitz to begin with..
Really wished they kept Webster he was impressive.
Still wonder if there going to use Aiyuk as a punt returner?
From what I understand about the TS is that each week we can protect 4 players from being claimed.
Wow. That’s crazy. The would be Sudfeld, McKivitz, Benjamin, and Mayden I’d think.
Shiot. I don;t know. How many are available to be called up every week?
Only 4? Wow. I guess this is different than the practice squad then?
Ahhh, they can call up 2 every week that won’t be counted against the roster. And 4 others to protect.
Huh. The Steelers traded a 2023 5th round pick to the Seahawks for Ahkello Witherspoon.
I guess they figure they can work with him.
In other words, Ahkello couldn’t get it done in Seattle either. Niners made the right move parting ways with him.
Yeah, he’s great when he’s right, but a big liability when he’s not. Too inconsistent.
Niners sign CB Josh Norman to a 1 year 2.25 million deal..
Very interesting he adds tons of experience for sure to the secondary but he turns 34 and has been burned on an average of 66% of throws his way the last few years along with TD’s allowed.
Niners might be thinking of depth due to past injuries with Verrett&Moseley plus some green young rookie backs in Thomas,Lenoir,Hugafar (sp) etc..
Hey, why not?
Interesting take from ESPN on the 49ers. This of course after talking up the Dodgers after the Giants kicked their ass.

I don’t see how anyone could think we will be last unless the injuries pile up again. Then again I just might be too much of a fan with rosy glasses.
Yeah, lots of talk about how the niners are overrated and a paper tiger. I don;t think so.
New thread.
