Super Bore V V in the Books

Well, what a strange game that was. From the first pass the mahomes threw, a pass batted down by Jason Pierre-Paul, to the last pick, the Chiefs played like a team that hadn’t been to the big one in a long time. Stupid penalties, bad ref calls, shitty punting, and most egregious, so many dropped passes.

Mahomes made two plays off scrambles that were phenomenal. Both could have been touchdowns. And both were dropped. Hill and Kelce included. The pass to Pringle that was maybe catchable was the stuff of legend. being spun in a circle, he got it off on the mark.

So, but for that, it could have been a different game. The refs did give the Bucs a free TD to close out the 1st half. Which was kinda sucky. But in the end, the Tampa defense, holding both safeties deep, seemed to slow down the deep KC game, and Mahomes was pretty bead up regardless.

Brady was decent, he made the throws he needed to, and the TB run game kept KC’s defense off balance. And by no means did I ever think KC would not score a touchdown.

If only we could have played a 4th quarter like that last year.

Fuck.

ICYMI, streaker, 1 TD, KC 0

The streaker might have been the best highlight of the worse SB game ever, along with the shit show halftime of alltime as well..

Mommy, can I borrow your computer?

  4. unca_chuck says:

Williams was the other guy. Jesus. How do you drop this after all Mahomes did?

  5. Irish Kevin says:

What was up with KC O-line, the Bucs D went through them like they were standing still. Also it did not appear KC made any adjustments at the half

  6. unca_chuck says:

KC was missing their two starting tackles Eric Fisher and Schwartz.

I’m real surprised Reid didn’t roll out Mahomes more as pressure was coming straight up the middle most of the time. Thing was, though, Todd Bowles brought pressure off the edges a lot too on blitzes. He brought 2 corners on one play. Crazy stuff.

Reid got outcoached. But with his son facing jail time for his major fuckup I’m sure he was distracted.

This SB proved that the game is truly won in the trenches. I don’t care how good a QB anyone is if the defense is hammering them pretty much every play. Mahomes is special but he is also pretty small those hits are gonna add up. if i was KC i would draft a shitload of OL’s.

The big nasties make the difference.
The QB makes the decisions that change the game.

I am hoping they go for a QB at 12. Give him a year or so to learn from Jimmy and hopefully we get a new spark. At least this way we don’t give up the future for anyone but Watson. i would still give up 3 first rd picks and Jimmy to get him.

Even if we get Lance, who I would love, or we gert Mac, who I’m fine with, we’d start Jimmy G.

Until he broke or totally sucked.
