Things Goin’ On . . .

Well, we signed a tight end, we signed a pass rusher (soon), and a wide receiver opted out of the season due to COVID concerns. The guys in order are Jordan Reed, top 5 pick Dion Jordan, and Travis Benjamin. Other than that we are looking to sign George Kittle to a new deal. We signed Kevin Lynch to an extension. Also, Jeff Wilson and Rick James were off the COVID-19 list and have been cleared to practice.

Other than that, Jimmy Garoppolo ended his 6-month silence, and announced that he still has a lot to learn and that obviously things didn’t end as well as expected. Seeing as one year ago, the 49ers were coming off a dogshit season, and their QB was testing out a surgically repaired knee, he also said that last season was a success. It was his first full season as a starter, so you can’t really expect much more than what he and the team accomplished.

He also said the team is very optimistic and is already playing at a high level and is confident they can pick up where they left off. It is looking more and more like there will be a season, so giddyup folks!

Super Bowl or bust.

Old time 49er seriously injured in crash. I remember when we traded him for Rosey Taylor, right before Nolan’s three divisional championships. He was a damned good guard who became one of the nest O-line coaches in the NFL.

With all the pending FA’s next year and a reduced cap I don’t see how we can keep this team together. We are going to have to get really creative. i hope paragge(sp) can do it.

Also, Seattle getting DJ Reed is gonna come back and bite us. the Niners made a mistake with that one.

Agree Winder this one could come back to bite them in they’re asses.DJ Reed put up solid numbers as a backup and now just hitting his 3 rd season of development makes it more mysterious on why the Niners would just release him.I know they’re in love with K’uam Williams, who is dynamite, but what if he walks? He’s a F/A coming up looking for a big payday ..

Is Reed gonna play this year? It may have been short-sighted, but we’ll see. A shot in the dark by the Seahawks more or less. I mean they make their bones signing our guys. I can’t recall any of their dumpster dives being very successful, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, the hope is these guys figure out that they want to stay rather than run for the money, but that happens maybe 5% iof the time. It would suck to be waylaid by this fucking pandemic. Then again, all the teams are going through various stages of this, but those with cap space have a big advantage.

    • Winder says:

Micheal Robinson worked out well for em. I think they pick em up to get our playbook and our nuances for both offense and defense.

  4. Winder says:

Didn’t realise that Seattle has Carlos Hyde now. That might work in our favor.

  5. unca_chuck says:

Hah! M-Rob had like 130 yards rushing in 4 years, so he wasn’t that successful. And Reed won’t play this season. I liked him as a backup, but we have many other options.

  6. alleykat69 says:

Niners are sure stacked on the Defensive Line with the addition of Dion Jordan a 1st rd pick by the Dolphins back in 2013.. They now have 6 First Rd Picks on the line! Superior Depth!!

    • Winder says:

I know it’s impossible but i would love it if we could pick up the DL guy from the Jags. i think AZ is gonna get him and that is gonna be bad for us.

Hope Howard Mudd recovers. Got to give him props for still riding at 78 though.
