Baseball is here, basketball is soon to restart on July 30th, and we will have the 49ers Santa Clara’s training camp open in 5 days. Whether we are all jumping the gun, we will soon find out, but as of now it’s full speed ahead with sports. I’m sure hockey is doing something but who gives a rat’s ass? Problem is, on day one of baseball, Juan Soto tested positive for COVID. His teammates all went out and played their game against the Yankees. Fittingly the first game was a 5 inning affair that was rained out. 3 months late, and rained-shortened? Too funny.
The Giants are going against the Dodgers right now, and as of now, no positives, unless you call Clayton Kershaw hitting the IR a positive development.
Anyhow, drove through the City last week, and hit some old stomping grounds.
Followed by a visit to the Kezar Club. A place I hadn’t been to since 1969.
Well, as it looks the Giants are who we thought they are. Which is just fine, we just need better players and we definitely need to shore up our pitching which probably won’t happen for a year or so. Can’t wait to see some ST and football news.
Yeah, I’m gonna sour on all these 8-1 losses rather quickly.
Cueto and Samardzija and pray for Godzilla?
Or 9-1 . . .
Alex Smith has been cleared by doctors to participate in football again..
Though I think it’s great news for him and his determination I think he should of just hung up the cleats imo
THat ESPN show on his recovery is insane. His leg was really fucked up. He nearly lost his leg, adn then he nearly died. He lost nearly half the muscle in his lower leg.Gruesome as fuck what he went through.
From Super 70s Sports:
The Blue Jays can’t find a place to play, Washington has no nickname, everybody’s going to make the MLB playoffs, the DH is in the National League, the NBA is playing without 8 teams, Fox is airing games with fake fans, and there’s an NHL team named “Kraken.” Great job, everyone.
Everybody but the Giants.
RIP Peter Green. One of my all time favorites.
I can’t tell the difference between “ass” and “elbow”? I better lay off the meat probes
Didn’t know about the early Fleetwood Mac as a kid. I grew up a little too late. After I heard this song, it opened up the whole thing.
yep that is a great song. They were just a really special band. Their style of blues just hit home to me. i had the first 3 John Mayall records but none of them compare to Mac’s first few. Very unique.
Like Spencer Davis Group compared to Traffic. One is solid, the other is outstanding. I like them both, but Traffic has so many great songs.
Nice. Great song.
New thread is up.
