With Kyler Murray fully committing to football, and dissing the Oakland A’s in the process, his announcement has thrown the draft board mavens into a tizzy. Throw in the fact that Murray has committed to meeting with the AZ Cardinals during the combine, you get even more rampant speculation. Murray has flown up the board all the way to the top possibly.
Given the fact that we just re-upped on Arik Armstead (much to Berger’s delight), the door has just been propped open for the 49ers to get the guy who has been called a generational pass rusher who is better than his brother Joey. Nick Bosa of course. And given the fact that I said this could very well happen once Murray announced a month ago, the question remains:
Do we take Nick Bosa?
He is, in his words, fully healthy and ready to do al the drills in the combine in the next couple days. It would be a nice thing to see him sail through the combine with no setbacks or problems as this team desperately needs a pass rusher.
I know some of you have reservations about signing Bosa, but I’m about 90% sure they do this as I think Kliff Klavin drafts his guy in Kyler Murray. They can trade Josh Rosen and be on their merry way. And I don’t see the 49ers getting Quinnen Williams what with the AA signing.
chuck- I have a feeling the smoke is just pouring out of AZ;s ass. They are probably just testing the waters by throwing that out there.
Carlos Hyde on the auction block again:

I don’t see Murray going #1, true QB’s get over drafted every year but he doesn’t have #1 credentials.
If Bosa is there at #2 I’m confident the Niners will take him. He is the current consensus #1 and Lynch and Shanny would have to have very big nuts to pass on him after the Thomas pick, which may end up a decent pick but has not been close to a #3.
Not only Berger is happy with AA getting his 9mil. He is a very good player who was injured a lot and misused somewhat. He graded out very highly last year and if he takes another step this year could be elite.
Wentz went from mid 2nd round pick to the top of the board on nothing other than hype.
I’m about 60% sure AZ takes Bosa, but Murray a certainly an option.
Heya!
I was watching an NFL draft expert on Rich Eisen recently and he had someone I’d never heard of as his #2 Edge (and maybe #2 overall) behind Bosa. I’ll need help from NJ on who this guy is, who might realisticly be ours unless AZ goes stupid or the Giants trade with them to get Murray, which I think could be Giant Genius.
I’m a fan btw of short QBs as rare, heavy underdogs – Fran Tarkenton, Doug Flutie. Never could stand the Big Ben prototype of 6’5″ built like a Mack Truck.
There is so much censorship on the coastal elite blog of libtards.
No. Trolls are like banana slugs. Salt should be poured on them. Fuck you, dumb-ass. Beyond that, YOU are on the west coast, so go grab the 3rd rail.
Get life. Go back to Skkkeeebies blog and keep posting as a racist asshole.
This was a bit of a surprise to me, the Niners signed Person to a 3 year deal:

IMO he was adequate but not really more than that and apparently Garnett is still in the running for the starting RG spot. A bit of a head scratcher.
They are not giving him a lot of money and since he played in all the games last year he is somewhat durable. They need bodies. I think they will pick up some more OL bodies in FA and the draft. It is a good insurance plan.
Right. They need healthy bodies at this point. I’m much more surprised about Armstead than this. Which makes me thing we’ll go OLB in the 1st round. Josh Allen.
New thread is up.
