Oh Joy – Reuben Foster Arrested in Florida – Football? Do We Still Play?

There’s a game? This season has truly gotten away from everyone, and what with the bye week and the Thursday game it feels like we haven’t played in a month. \

And that’s the good news.

Top WRs Goodwin and Garcon are out. Not that Mullens throws to anyone besides Kittle, but those guys are a bit of a hope of generating some offense. Brieda it would be nice to see not limp off the field at any given point.

That being said, I just saw the news that Reuben Foster was arrested for domestic violence at the fucking hotel where the Niners are staying in Tampa at 9:00 pm local time.  Can’t wait to see how this one turns out. He hasn’t even been bonded out yet.

I wonder if Lynch will play Foster like St Jim played Aldon Smith after his DUI arrest.

Reuben and Aldon can start a reality show called “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights.”

Stupid is as stupid does. Forrest.
    What a dipsh!t.
Put another LB on the Draft List.
    Devin White LSU…..

    • NJ49er says:

As a matter of fact, the LB from Ohio State looked pretty Draftable today too.
      Malik Harrison – 6’3″/245

  2. NJ49er says:

Quite honestly, I think Lynch is more likely to jettison Foster after all the nonsense he went through in the Bay.
We’ll see soon enough won’t we?

  3. unca_chuck says:

Yeah, all the other crap and now this? He’d better cut him loose. Dumbshit of the highest order.

  4. NJ49er says:

We’ll see how the ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy is applied this time……

  5. Flavor says:

there is no way he plays today or ever again for the Niners. Book it.

  6. 12th Man says:

    Foster released

  7. unca_chuck says:

    Same chick?!?!? Wow.

    Here’s your sign.

  8. Irish Kevin says:

Let’s see Tampa can get to theQB, but the Niners D cannot!!

  9. Irish Kevin says:

    Anyone watching the game

  10. unca_chuck says:

Yep. So far so what. Mullens looking like a walk-on. Lousy protection and TB will key on the run from here on out.

  11. unca_chuck says:

Wow. The pass blocking is espacially horrible 2 guys whiffed ion that one,

  12. unca_chuck says:

Running left works, so we haven’t done it since the 34 yard run.

  13. Irish Kevin says:

I see the Niner staff is sticking with the 1980’s run, run, run. Then when it is thrid and long the opposing teams D does not have to call any play, just line up and get the QB

  14. Irish Kevin says:

So the back field does there job and the front line flushes the QB out of the pocket and he still gets a pass off for a first down

  15. Irish Kevin says:

Only took a quarter and a 1/2 to get a pass to a WR. Pathetic

  16. unca_chuck says:

I have yet to see Mullens step into a throw.

  17. unca_chuck says:

12 weeks in and we can’t score from 1.

  18. Irish Kevin says:

Let’s Breida and Kittle are the only players the O coordinator is looking at to make plays, wonderful

  19. Spitblood says:

Don’t worry, guys. We’ll get ’em next year. LMAO.

  20. Winder says:

We do know how to stink up a game.

  21. Winder says:

Same thing, penalties and mistakes, and poor execution.

  22. unca_chuck says:

Well, at least I changed my oil instead of watching this mess.

  23. Winder says:

Some team will pick up Foster. NJ just might be right about the curse.

  24. unca_chuck says:

Wow. The Raiders are REALLY mailing it in.

  25. Irish Kevin says:

Well this was a waste of a morning

  26. rtfirefly says:

The Bosa Express just keeps chugging along!

  27. Irish Kevin says:

Jimmy Ward broke his arm again

  28. unca_chuck says:

We need playmakers. As is blatantly obvious. On both sides of the ball. We have very few.

  29. Winder says:

We should probably trade out of the 1-3 position for more picks.

  30. unca_chuck says:

If we can get Bosa, we get Bosa

  31. NJ49er says:

New 9er Jersey idea Winder. Just in time for the Holidays…. 😀

      • NJ49er says:

        Smudging –
The burning of smudge sticks is also believed by some indigenous groups to cleanse an area of any evil presence.

      • NJ49er says:

‘Ablutionary’ would look good on a Jersey too I think?

In the traditions of many Indigenous peoples of the Americas, one of the forms of ritual purification is the ablutionary use of a sauna, known as a sweatlodge

  32. NJ49er says:

Looks like there was some reason for concern a month ago in the Bay Area with these 2 idiots.

  33. Winder says:

We are just not good enough of a football team to put up with distractions like Foster. We need players who are truly bought in and not just some mouth service. I have a feeling we are gonna do a pretty decent size overhaul again this off-season. I think we dump Celek, Garnett, Garcon, and probably Armstead. I also think we dump 1/2 of this years draft and a few of last years also.

    • NJ49er says:

Ward is on the list also Winder.
Problem is, Lynch is only holding 6 Picks this year.
He has to remain in Top 3 and, hope there are serious buyers come April.

Foster was a major gamble, and proved to be every bit the liability many believed he would become.

  34. NJ49er says:

They can’t exercise the 5th year option on Arik with all the Draft talent coming out at the same position either.
He appears to have whiffed on Thomas as well.
Jury is still out on Pettis and AkWith too.
He took an ACL gamble on KStreet, which may, or may not pan out. TBD…

Too many holes to patch up with just 6 Picks in the bank.
I’d consider a top CB in FA, maybe a DE at the right price too.
He has to stock up on youth for D early. Rookie Contracts are safer bets than big ticket FAs.
We’re cursed. He better have a Plan for this mess.
It starts with holding Top Slots or Gruden will clean house ahead of us.

    • NJ49er says:

Short of dealing anyone on Draft Weekend, there’s always the Comp Picks that come with their departure. That obviously puts things off another year however and, is offset by additional signings. I just wonder how adept the brain trusts around Lynch are, at making complicated moves, up/down the Draft Board.
One guy doesn’t fix this mess for us.
They have to hope someone else sees one guy as the answer, and, coughs up Picks in return.

      • NJ49er says:

He was lucky to have Chicago buy into our slot for Trubiski. Unfortunately, he thought Thomas would get away and didn’t move again.
Hard to know what could have been or, whether other offers came about.
But, this is how you stock a roster. Entertain buyers and play The Board.

  35. unca_chuck says:

One guy may not fix everything, and won’t, but a great pass rusher fixes a lot of problems. This draft is all about pass rushers. We are top 3 guaranteed with this last loss. If not #1. Deal lower picks, get a proven #1 WR and fix the O line. And get a solid CB.

And I think Saleh needs to go. His defense scheme is shit.

  36. rtfirefly says:

Baker Mayfield has a QBR of 129.5 since Hue departed, second only to Drew Bree’s in that time span. He threw four early TD against Hue’s new team yesterday. I guess my pick to replace Tomsula wasn’t such a good idea.

Our OL has been quite good this year. I suspect the sacks were the result of Mully being confused and overwhelmed by the Tamp Bay blitz. I know the first sack was.

No,no,no! The draft needs to be D and only D. We need 2 ERs, a CB, and a FS desperately. We need a second CB and a strong side LB who can blitz effectively. We could improve at SS. And oh yeah, as of today we have no weak side LB.

In short, we could keep Buckner, Sherman, and Warner, maybe Solly at DT and dump the rest of the defense and not look back.

We need a #1 WR and a replacement for Staley. McKinnon should return next year, though his effectiveness coming back is questionable. Staley is under contract or one more year. We’ll have to wait.

We can upgrade at OG. They’re cheap. Second TE? We need one, but meh.

We’re around 7th or so in cap space at $70 mil. Just a few key releases of ineffective players (sorry I forget exactly who) brings us to $93 mil. Would good FAs come here?

  37. unca_chuck says:

Mayfeild’s reply to a reporter asking him what Hue said to him after the game was pretty telling. Mayfield had no kind words for Hue at all. I feel the same way about our defense and our DC. We are routinely beaten by basic plays, with guys way out of position and/or missing in action. The pass rush is invisible after 1.5 years, and the safeties never seem to go to the right areas. I’m fine with Dwelly as outr TE. Get rid of Celek.

    New thread is up.
