All the Picks Are Signed ! !! !

One day after signing edge rusher Romello Height, the 49ers signed fourth-round pick Gracen Halton to his four-year rookie deal today, according to Adam Schefter.

Dude could very well be a 4th round steal as a rotational pass rushing DT.

From Lance Zierleine: “He’s an energetic, gap-to-gap rusher who can threaten guards on their edges or play his role as an effective twister. Finding the right scheme fit will be critical for Halton in the NFL.”

Sounds good to me. A better set of DTs and a more effective pass rush will doo wonders for this defense. Yeah, we were severely limited due to the number of major injuries, but still and all, I’d love to see a more aggressive and attacking defense.

Halton is a one gapping DT. He won’t be in to stop the run, he is a pass rusher. Same with Height. If Height were a little bigger, he would’ve gone late first, early 2nd. He will come in to get to the QB and that is it.

Yeah it’s kind of funny Berger cause are other guys Collins&West are more run stoppers! Cue in the addition of are Dallas Boy OSA O as the dude can do both..Hopefully

Agree Berger. In my estimation, our biggest weakness is interior defensive line (same as it ever was . . . see last year). Not certain that “Osa” (can’t spell his last name), the aquisition from the Cowboys – is the answer?

osa is 6’2 280 lbs. We gave up a 3rd for that

Liked the picks with gracen and later. Height is 239 ĺbs

All-encompassing in the Mahomes era. Well, not that bad, but Bosa was getting held repeatedly in that first SB loss. The 3rd and 20 play especially. That’s what really pisses me off. That play changed the outcome.

From DeBerg to Montana to Bono to Grbac to Smith to Gabbert!!!!

Just tuned in (3rd inning) and already, the game is getting away from the Giants. Dunno about the details. Regardless, Giants remind me of a newspaper. They have a new issue every day.

Said Krukow, whom is obviously going blind, i.e., it was a home run. He did correct himself. lol

I’m leery of this team. I’m not convinced Shanahan can get out of his own way.

He was forced to do a lot of different things last year due to all the injuries, but my hope is he keeps on the pressure in the red zone and on 1st and goal.

His usual play is CMC up the middle for 1 yard on 1st and goal. Everyone knows this yet it happens too much. He finally threw in some play action on 1st and goal to great success.

Food for thought for the blueathons. The comments at the bottom are more direct. Like throwing acid in the face. Enjoy. One more month before serious football.

huh, the often insufferable Ann Killion has quite a column in Chron. Turns out the last 3 soccer games of World Cup will all be played on grass–in Dallas Atlanta and Jersey. Yet looks like all 3 grass fields will be ripped up and go back to normal turf for NFL etc. afterwards.

Wtf? Games were played on grass in Seattle and at other normally indoor yards, and grass worked fine. Obviously, NFL players prefer it over turf by wide margin. Especially at where Giants and Jets play, that turf is notorious. And now they’re going back to it once World Cup is done???

  18. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Saw that article. Fucking MetLife field is the worst of the worst. And of course we play at all three this season.

    • Winder's avatar Winder says:

It is ridiculous that they are going back to turf. Every club is worth at least 6+ billion and they still go with fucking turf to bad you can’t sue em when you get hurt on it.
