Well, they did it. Jake Moody was given his walking papers. And not minute too soon. After his usual struggles once again on the simplest of kicks, he was jettisoned and they signed back Greg Joseph. I know it ain’t that easy, but it also isn’t that hard. What sucks is a guy like Matt Prater was cooling his heels on the couch a week ago, gets a call from the Bills, and boots 3 FGs and 4 XPs to help Buffalo with their epic comeback.
I was VERY baffled by the pick when they made it. A 3rd rounder on a PK? And I was even more baffled they stuck with him after last year’s awfulness. Even though he was ‘rushed back’ due to his injury after getting hurt tackling someone. I was done with him after his first year and his Super Bowl XP failure.
Other than that, yeah, Purdy’s out for at least a game. Kittle is out for at least a month. Bartch is day-to-day with a sprained knee. Jennings is day-to-day with his shoulder.
I’m sure I’m missing 5 other guys who are hurt.

Kittle goes to IR on top of it.
Farrell and Tonges will see more action of course.

Eddie Piniero, come on down. He’s OK I guess. Spent some time with Boyer and the Jets.
Missed some kicks tho.

What is the old axiom, better to have injuries at the beginning of the season. I don’t know if that works for the Niners, they have soo many stars out.
As long as we can beat NO. The old adage, take ’em one game at a time’ applies.
I don’t even think Brock has been ruled out but NO is a mess. AZ and Jax? Pretty much the same.
We should be 4-0 by the time we play the Rams. But that’s called getting ahead of one’s self.
Very improtant for Kyle to stress this. Beat the guy in front of you.

Glad to hear Puni and Bartch practiced. They are now saying Purdy may miss a few games.
Didn’t really like seeing CMC get 31 touches, but with everyone else hurt, not a ton of choice there. I just hope B Robinson gets a lot of touches vs NO.
And we have to watch out for the Rattler . . .

moves like Forrest Gump
That is what scares me about Jones, pocket passer only, no mobility. And with the offensive line not being the greatest at pass blocking well…Houston we have a problem.
I hard on KNBR Purdy to miss 4 games, but they also said it will be week to week to see how he progresses
