Game Day XIII – Playing Out the String

Two 5-7 teams, both with playoff hopes, but one hanging by their fingernails, and one tied for 1st place. One with a steady vet, one with an inconsistent backup. As with all of our games under Mullens, the guy has to stop turning the ball over. 9 picks and 4 fumbles in 8 games is not going to win you many games. And just to add to the injury mix, linemen DJ Jones and Kevin Givens are on the COVID list and won’t play. Backup O lineman Tom Compton is out with his 2nd concussion in 3 weeks, so rookie Colton McKivitz gets the nod. And we get another dose of K Street. Let’s see if he can get through a game without a killer penalty. And rookie DT who I never heard of, Darrion Daniels, gets the nod off of the practice squad. I thinks he’s our 21 call-up from the practice squad.

I guess we get to see if the Giants are for real as well as they try to climb to respectability against AZ in the late-breaking NFC East.

Wow. 1st series, turnover machine Daniel Jones fumbles and AZ recovers on the Giants 8. Giants hold on 4th and 1.

Seattle has the Jets and their joke of a team as Adam Gase continues to somehow have a job despite being winless at 0-12, and amazingly being ‘distracted’ on the final play of the game. Gee coach, thinking about the post game cocktail?

Rams already won and I guess if we somehow win, the playoff picture will change accordingly and we will still be on the fringes. We need to somehow make that AZ game matter. That means beating the No-Skins and Cowboys.

Mahomes with 2 picks and a 30 yard sack in the 1t quarter.

  2. Winder says:

This Washington team is no pushover.

  3. Winder says:

What really sucks for me is that I don’t care whether we win or lose. This year is just so fucked up that football doesn’t really interest me right now.

  4. Irish Kevin says:

It is still hard for me to criticize any QB who 1. Does not have a good pass protecting O-line, 2. Injured WR’s, and 3. Defense that has mostly 2nd, 3rd string and practice squad players. So for Mullens he is not showing how good he can be but definitely showing how bad he can be

  5. Winder says:

That was a pretty nice drive Wilson is a keeper

  6. alleykat69 says:

Man Juicy is going to get on the highlight/ lowlight for getting steamrolled try to pass block! “HE GOT MOSSED”

  7. unca_chuck says:

Mullens is a fucking idiot. How many times can he fumble? How do you teach a guy to protect the ball? He’s a fucking turnover machine.

    Put in the Beater.

  8. unca_chuck says:

I understand Mullens isn’t getting great protection. But get the ball out. Fucking fuck.

  9. unca_chuck says:

Drop. Miss. Near pick. Penalty. Suck.

Oh my God, Mullens is fucking stupid. He’s waiting for the pressure.

  10. unca_chuck says:

    Shit, let’s just forfeit.

  11. alleykat69 says:

Yeah Mullens can’t help himself in being alright Fucking SHIT💩💩💩💩Let’s throw in a pick 6!!!
Beater Time Please are Freddie rest his soul Solomon!!

  12. unca_chuck says:

Wow. Just wow. Saw that one coming a mile off. Mullens back in for more.

Love it. Now Shanny warms up Beater? There’s Cap’t . Obvious and Cap’t Oblivious.

  13. unca_chuck says:

Gawd. Woulda been a nice pick.

  14. unca_chuck says:

Washington’s defense has outscored their offense and our offense.

  15. unca_chuck says:

Shanny is a pussy. Fuck this.

  16. unca_chuck says:

Well, that worked. Nifty little play there,

  17. unca_chuck says:

Jesus. McGlinchey has become such a liability in pass protection.

  18. NJ49er says:

Starting to think McKivitz will take McGlinchey’s spot at some point.
I get reminded too often, with games like this, that we passed on Minkah for McGlinch.
Also, another game on Shanny’s resume where he can’t overcome a 2nd half deficit to save his life.
No big deal in this case, we need the Draft slot in our favor anyway.
