Week 1 Injury Report

The good news as of now is that Fred Warner has been cleared to practice after missing the last week on the COVID protocol. More good news is that Dee Ford, Nick Bosa, and Kyle Juicechick also practiced as well. The official injury report should come out some time in the next couple hours, but as of now Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk both have a shot to play this weekend.

If you believe the fantasy football connection, Deebo’s stock is rising fast, so that means he will most likely play by week 2, if not Sunday. And yes, there are fantasy football analysts who get inside info like this.

Center Ben Garland is also one who hasn’t been practicing, but has an outside shot at playing. Since the 49ers moved the back up to the back up Hroniss Grasu back to the practice squad, it looks like they are confident Garland will be ready.

Bring it ON!!

looks like Deebo is not gonna play this week. Don’t know about Garland. I don’t think Aiyuk is gonna be that productive from the get go at least not until he’s got his feet wet. Kittle, Taylor, Bourne, and Pettis are gonna have to hold the fort down.

  2. unca_chuck says:

Yeah, we’ll see. Taylor has some familiarity with the offense. Pettis needs to step up big.

  3. unca_chuck says:

Wow, the Texans look so much better than last year. BBBill O’BBBrien should be fired.

  4. unca_chuck says:

Looks like Aiyuk is back practicing, but Deebo is not.

Both are game-time decision but it looks like Aiyuk will play.

I hope he does. we need both our 1rd’s to produce. I can’t fucking wait. This weeks game is gonna be a battle for sure.

  5. Winder says:

I just read where they may cancel the game due to smoke. What a fucked up year.

  6. Winder says:

The deteriorating air quality in Santa Clara, California could force the 49ers to postpone Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.
California’s climate apocalypse has wreaked havoc on the air quality around Levi Stadium, prompting the Niners to communicate with the NFL about contingency plans for Sunday’s season opener. The air quality index threshold for the league to cancel practices or postpone games is 200. On Friday, the index stood at 194. “If it gets to 200, that would be a huge deal,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday. “I know when it’s above 150 that does affect a certain group of people that happen to be higher risk, pre-existing conditions, if it got above 150 you could lose a few players, but 200 is the mark where you can’t go out there.” Fantasy players should be prepared to find replacements for their Cardinals and 49ers if the game is postponed.

I keep hearing the breeze on Sunday will come off the ocean to clear the air. The air should be a little better tomorrow, and better still by Sunday.

That being said, I took the dogs for a walk today and my lungs were burning after 15 minutes.

  8. unca_chuck says:

FWIW, air quality in Santa Clara tomorrow is supposed to be at 68, which is moderate. Well below the 200 unhealthy rating that would cause cancellation

Deebo Samuel placed on IR will miss the first 3 games.Looks like his stock is falling ..
Big hit time needed for Aiyuk to step up and be productive..

  10. Winder says:

I just noticed that Demotre Moore isn’t on the team this year. I liked him. Well I just read that he’s a fucking Seahawk again, so fuck him.
