Nothing seems to be stabilizing, let alone getting better in the U S of eh? I’m assuming neither baseball, basketball, or football will be played this year, despite the ramping up of something resembling training camp for baseball, and the restart of the basketball season. Baseball of course spent two months haggling about the money while the rest of the nation struggled on. During the game of chicken regarding playing, the league did nothing with the time allowed to figure out a testing protocol. Something EVERYONE knew was the biggest issue around starting the game back up. Now that we are here, the league missed their ship date for tests to numerous teams, and they look like the stupid fucks that they are.

Basketball chose the worst hotspot in the nation, Floriduh, to restart their interrupted season. That should go well. Maybe Rudy Gobert can be in charge of cleaning the press room.

But, fuck baseball and basketball. I’m more worried about football. As of now, teams are rag-tagging it, and various players are testing positive as they ignore the rules around practice. A couple preseason games have already been cancelled, and frankly with the way the powers that be have screwed the pooch in the response to this outbreak, I’m not very optimistic about the season. barring the miracle vaccine.

And, what’s the deal with DeSean Jackson? Quoting Hitler is bad enough. Misquoting Hitler is even more odd. Like DSJ OD’ed on Louis Farrakhan last weekend.

DSJ is throwing mea culpas around like confetti . . .

I guess people like sticking their foot in their mouths. It’ been happening quite regular. Just another truth of the dumbing down of America. It’s one thing to be poor and uneducated but quite another to be privileged and stupid.

Yep. Like Kawhi Leonard being a flat-earther.

Well, I flattened the Dubs back to earth while I was in Toronto so I wasn’t that far off the mark.

“Raheem Mostert requested a trade from the 49ers.
It’s one of the only leverage points he has over the 49ers right now as he looks to increase his salary up from $3 million. Mostert was the most efficient back in San Francisco last season and ultimately took over playoff games during the 49ers’ Super Bowl run. His agent, Brett Tessler, notes that Mostert’s contract was negotiated when he was just a core special teamer, not when he was entrenched as the 49ers’ Week 1 projected starter. A trade is possible, but it would make sense for both parties to reach an agreement on a slight pay bump before the season begins. Mostert is only seeking Tevin Coleman money ($4.5M). It seems helpful to be a running back in Kyle Shanahan’s scheme, but what do we know. If Mostert is ultimately traded, Coleman’s average draft position (RB43) would be a complete smash for fantasy football. It’s also worth noting Jerick McKinnon (ACL) has yet to resume cutting”.

    • Blaheem Mostert says:

I was a valuable player in helping the 49ers win the Super Bowl…err, oops, I mean NFC championship. That second place trophy looks good but I wanna get paid.

  6. unca_chuck says:

Just saw this. The agent is saying ‘months of unproductive negotiations’ led to this. This shouldn’t be that hard to figure out.

  7. unca_chuck says:

    And fuck McKinnon. Coleman? Meh.

  8. unca_chuck says:

The thing about Kyle, and his dad before him, they made average backs look spectacular.

This team has to pay who they think irreplaceable. Obviously that doesn’t apply to Mostert.

Well seriously can anyone depend on McKinnon coming back strong afte 2 straight years of injuries? That would be a big fat NO.And yet since the 49ers keep insisting he an his 20 mil plus contract trudge on..
Coleman a Shanny back from Atlanta is pulling in 4.5 mil to just be a plodder type back a decent 2nd fiddle, but it’s Mosert who has the Swagger to break runs and catch big passes.Hell the 220 yard game against the Packers and 760 yards total yards down the stretch shows his durability. He’s not asking top back money, just what he’s entitled to as the lead back and more than Coleman is making imo

Right. I don’t get it. It’s a stupid stand to make when the guy isn’t (as far as I know) asking for the moon. Because yeah, he’s much better than Coleman, and McKinnon is a persona non grata at this point. Wilson is OK, so I guess they are hoping he takes the Mostert roler. Even if healthy he’s not a pound through the line guy, he’s an edge rusher..hit,getting rid of Breida I thought paved the way for making Mostert the 1 guy.
