Black Mamba Gone

Not a big Kobe fan, and definitely not a Laker fan, but Kobe’s death yesterday sent shock waves through the sporting world. It was tough to see so many athletes breaking down over the news. Say what you will about him, but he put his heart and soul into the game he played, and gave no quarter. It was a little sad to see him play out the string after his achilles rupture, but he’s top 5 ever to play the game.

Kobe was known for his charity work during and after his career, and was heading to Mamba, his basketball academy in Thousand Oaks with his daughter Gigi and 7 others. All the families who lost loved ones must be devastated. Condolences to all involved.

Got to wonder why they were flying in the fog. The LAPD grounded their choppers Sunday morning.

    Heartfelt tribute form Willie Mays.

Met both on them over the years, and McCovey was much more approachable. Always liked him a little more as a person. But Mays will always be my favorite baseball player.

That’s very cool. I heard him mention this when Michael Irvin was talking to him.

    Do the math…
    9ers X 6 = 54 or,
    6X 9ers = (SB) 54

    Let’s DO THIS! 😀

There really is only one thing standing in our way for the trophy and that is Mahomes. Our troubles with mobile QB’s is well known. Our defense has got to find a way to slow him down and our offense has to keep him off the field for as long as they can. This should be a really crazy SB. As long as we win it will be fun.

I think the defense has gotten a little better at it after facing all these guys like Murray, Wilson, and Jackson.Plus Ford and Alexander were gone for all those games.

It’s about staying in your assigned spots. Don’t overreact to the fakes.

Hell what teams haven’t struggled against a mobile running QB? Even the genius of Bill Belichick could not come up with a game plan against Lamar Jackson.
Still the 49ers have done better than most, beating Murray twice,Wilson once and a OT loss,Jackson on a last second FG.They hold up well, so it should be the same against Mahomes imo..

  12. unca_chuck says:

Yup. My thoughts exactly. The best way to beat a mobile QB is to keep him on the sidelines. We have the team built to do that.
