That N’Awlins game was a hell of a lot of fun to watch, but it came at a pretty heavy cost. Richard Sherman is out at least a couple weeks, Weston Richburg is likely out this year and most of next, Dee Ford is out a few weeks with his bad hammy to go along with his quad and knee tendonitis, K’waun Williams has a concussion, DJ Jones has a sprained ankle, and Jaquiski Tartt has a cracked rib.
At least Jones and Tartt are day-to-day, and Nick Bosa had a knee contusion he played through, but it looks that, for the next couple weeks anyway, we have to lean on the offense. The good news is our next two games are at home. The 4-9 Falcons are next. 4-9? I don’t get it. The Falcons still have Julio Jones and Matt Ryan, he being 5th in the league in passing yards.
Their defense has failed miserably this season, however. They are last in the league in sacks, and their pass defense is flat awful. At one point they were 1-7, so they have improved a little. And they inexplicably trounced the Saints in New Orleans, but this is a defense ripe to be plucked. Early and often.
And this just doesn’t get old. It is one of those plays, like Beast Mode Marshawn Lynch vs the Saints in that 2010 playoff game so many years ago.

Week 14 NFC Offensive Player of the Week
And the shit just keeps coming. Looks like D.J. Jones is out for the year with a significant ankle injury.
Of the D-linemen from opening day, this will make three out for the year, with Dee Ford on the bubble as to whether he can come back effective for the playoffs.
We have FOURTEEN players on the injured list. If Kentavius Street replaces Jones on the active roster, it’ll stay at 14.
Our shitty luck with injuries could derail us yet.

Jones has been a rock in the middle for us he’s gonna be hard to replace. We shall see just how resilient we are in the next couple of weeks. Both Atlanta and the stinking Rams are playing some good ball right now. But hey, this is what it’s all about.

Given the way that Solomon has remained largely unnoticed this year, even as Armstead and Blair and others seemed to benefit from playing next to Bosa, DeFo, and Ford, I think it might be time to admit that Thomas is never going to live up to expectations. He might be a rotation guy but he’s never going to justify being chosen third overall.
At this point I could care less about his draft position as long as he fills a need. And a hole. We need competent at this point, not anything spectacular.
yeah, at this point he just has to do his job. I know the desire is there maybe he’s a little slow in figuring out where the play is going because I know he’s strong enough to play on the line. i wish him the best. i don’t have much faith in Street since he hasn’t been able to even get on the field.

Yeah, i doubt we have a shot at him since so many teams have injury issues. We will have to get somebody since one or two more injuries and we won’t have enough players on defense to fill out a squad. Anyway, the players we do have are just gonna have to dig deep and carry the team. Offense is gonna have to play mistake free football and score a shitload of points.
