Taking a look at the handy dandy results on the side of this place, and I see that we haven’t beat the Cards since 2014. The dregs of the the Harbaugh era. The garbage game at the end of that woebegone season. IOW, a long fucking time.
But that was then, this is now. Since no one was too keen on my idea of resting some of the starters, I guess we play and hope we come out of this game healthy. As healthy as one can be after playing 2 games in 5 days. Richard Sherman was very outspoken about these Thursday night games, he blew out his Achilles on a Thursday night, and all the players certainly feel it, but here we are. Playing our 2nd division game. One of 3 in a row. AZ, Sea, AZ GOt to love the schedulers for this anomaly. At least we get Seattle at home.
Thing is, the Cards have the same schedule as the Niners. In other words, fodder. Yet they are 3-4-1. They beat the Giants, the Falcons, and the Bengals. Seattle, the Ravens, the Saints, and the Panthers have beaten them. They are always tough at their house, and we seem to be cursed against them, but shit, we got this.

This will be a good test of holding our gaps. What has killed us before is the ability of RW to get free from the initial rush to throw downfield, or get free on a scramble. LB speed is much different this year, and we have a MUCH improved pass rush.
Murray is a good warmup for RW.

i think by next year we will have the toughest division in football. We might have it already I’m not sure. For some reason AZ has had our # for years now. i don’t Kingsburry(sp) is the coach that Arians is but i wouldn’t take him lightly. We need to crush our division. My great and unmatched SPACE FORCE must have launched Chuck’s brain into orbit the other day. Not only did he think Thursday Night Football was on Tuesday night (NOT GOOD) but he suggested resting all of the starters in favor of the DO NOTHING third stringers. What he forgot is that playoff seeding is in place and the Green Bay (a town which overwhelmingly voted for me, they love me there, I’m the second coming of Vince Lombardi, believe me) Packers are only one game behind SF for the top seed and Aaron Rodgers (who I have met, he’s a great man, a TREMENDOUS man, a fine quarterback, that I can tell you) and his team still has a head to head game vs. the Niners next month. VERY DISAPPOINTED in Chuck’s ideas to forfeit this game against a division rival. He used to be a savvy 49er fan! SAD!!!

i wasn’t sure about the Sanders trade but I am now he was worth it. He’s going up against one of the better DB’s and still getting things done.
