Game 6 – Shanny’s Revenge

You have to hand it to Daniel Snyder.  He ran Mike Shanahan, Kyle Shanahan, Sean, McVay,  and Matt LaFleur out of town over the past 10 years. Granted, Shanny Sr. was 24-40, but he did reach the playoffs with Kurt Cousins. So, Danny boy ran them all out of town and hired Jay Gruden. Who he just fired. At 35-50. Like Mike, he had a one-and-done playoff year with Cousins but the rest was a mess of firing quarterbacks, .and meddling in football decisions.

When Kyle Shanahan was asked what he liked about his time in DC, he said he liked working with his dad, and enjoyed working with the other coaches on the staff. When he was asked what he didn’t like, he said “everything else”.

Shanny’s not the flashy type but that quote opened up a lot of ears around the NFL. Mainly because Snyder has the uncanny ability to piss off everyone who works for he and Bruce Allen, the architects of disaster in Washington, to the tune of 140-185. So, while Snyder looks for his 10th coach in his 21st season as owner, he gets to revel in the fact he hired and fired 3 of the hottest young coaches in the NFL. And dragged Kyle’s dad through the mud among the  backstabbing and meddling, I think we don;t have to worry about this game being overlooked by Kyle.

38-10 Niners.

yes. Kick the shit out of them, rub Snyder’s face in it, get out of their un-injured. That’ll do, that’ll do……

  2. Winder says:

Snyder must truly be dysfunctional to not spot the potential talent he already had on the team. Sounds kinda like a ‘my way or the highway’ kinda guy. But I guess money does that to people. Like Flavor said no injuries. i would really like to see what this team could do with everyone healthy.

    • NJ49er says:

      Think meddler of all meddlers.
      Haynesworth, RG III etc.
      Gums up machinery.
      He makes Jerruh look legit.
Petulant little rich kid playing with the controls.

  3. unca_chuck says:

We’ll be fully healthy by the playoffs, Winder!

    49ers injury report:

    QB C.J. Beathard
    WR Deebo Samuel
    CB Ahkello Witherspoon
    FB Kyle Juszczyk
    T Mike McGlinchey
    T Joe Staley
    DL D.J. Jones

We need our WRs back! Taylor, Hurd, and now Deebo. No drops today.

  5. Irish Kevin says:

Well don’t want sound like I don’t think the Niners could win this game, but with the rain and the shitty turf, it could be an ugly game, low scoring for sure

  6. alleykat69 says:

Yeah there’s no way how sloppy the field is that this is a low scoring final.. 17-3 niners, in a ground attack mostly game..

    • Irish Kevin says:

I don’t think the run game will be good, Niners runners rely on being able to cut left and right, not the run it up the middle type runners

  7. Irish Kevin says:

I think this game the WR’s are going to have to step up

  8. Irish Kevin says:

    Where is the pass protection

  9. unca_chuck says:

Well, the weather may hold the score down a little.

  10. alleykat69 says:

If you can’t hold on to the ball, the receivers& backs will be ineffective.

  11. unca_chuck says:

    Fucking Gould is 9-16.

  12. unca_chuck says:

Lost their best WR on that play.

  13. unca_chuck says:

Back to falling for the screen.

  14. unca_chuck says:

    There you go. Nice stop.

  15. Irish Kevin says:

0-3 or 07 for the score, whoever scores first will win

  16. Irish Kevin says:

I hate games that are decided by the weather

  17. unca_chuck says:

At least we get the ball.

  18. Winder says:

Tough game, kinda like an old Kezar mud game. Games like these gotta be reality checks for the players.

  19. Irish Kevin says:

    Oops

  20. Irish Kevin says:

Good to see Kyle showing confidence in Jimmy, and throwing the ball

  21. unca_chuck says:

Damn. A TD ends this game. time to lean on the d, but at least they have been off the field a while.

  22. alleykat69 says:

Fuck to conservative play calling at the goal line!!
Terrible call on Kittles attempt, your not going to succeed on trickery and running sideways..
Field goal keeps Skins in it, where the TD probably seals it..

  23. alleykat69 says:

49er Defense stepped up huge today, like all season when they needed a stop they got it!

  24. Winder says:

That was actually a great win. The Niners played some ball today.

  25. unca_chuck says:

Tough conditions, but the O again did enough to keep the defense rested and ready.

Gould redeemed himself a little in the terrible conditions.

  26. Grumpy Guy says:

This kind of game, in shitty weather, on the road, when your offense really can’t do what it wants, is if anything more impressive than a blowout.

This team has character. They’re young, which is a deadly shortcoming most years when you get to the playoffs, but they’re not backing down from anyone.

They have a chance, just a chance, to be Special.

  27. Winder says:

Notice there wasn’t a lot of flags today. The refs wanted to get out of the weather.

  28. alleykat69 says:

    6-0 49ers
    5-2 Seahawks
    4-3 Rams
    3-3-1 Cardinals
    It’s a great feeling!
Smoke em if you got em🚬

  29. unca_chuck says:

Skins had 7 penalties. We have really done a great job of cutting down the penalties. And one of the two we got was BS on Thomas for roughing the passer.

  30. unca_chuck says:

Grump, we are young but we are FAST. The pass rush is the biggest difference with this team. Plus getting all these turnovers.

Got to say, I was really down on Saleh last year when we were leaving guys wide open all the time, and getting the run stuffed down our throat. The difference with Alexander, Ford, and Bosa is enormous.

    • Winder says:

And Warner seems to have really grown into the position also. But it really does start with our line they have been fantastic. Everyone seems to be playing at a high level so I guess it really is contagious.

  31. Shammy’s Revenge says:

Chuck called it. He said it’d be a total annihilation and it was. They crushed the Redskins with 3 field goals. Way to go, team!
