How’s about this? Who do the Niners face in the playoffs. IF they make the playoffs. Do they make it all the way to the 2nd seed and get a bye? Certainly possible seeing as they’ve pretty much played the toughest part of their schedule. Unless they lose their QB and a few LBs and corners, it looks as if the NFC West is in the bag. Balt on the road is the hardest game out there. Pittsburgh has looked emminently beatable. Esp at home. The Giants? I don’t know. Washington? The Niners should be able to get past them. Jeff Beck? He’s going down. Down down down down down. Who the hell is John Beck? Better than Gross Rexman? Really? The rest of the West? 5-1 should be doable. So, say they lose to the Giants, Pitts, and drop a division game. That’s 12-4. The NFC East and NFC South have too many competitive teams, and will beat each other up and end up 11-5. 1st round bye.
Could I have imagined this 6 weeks ago? No. I had them squeaking into the playoffs at 8-8.

Speaking of Tebow, how bummed is he? He’s finally getting a start, and his best weapon, Blloyd is traded to the Rams.
Looks like Bradford has someone to throw to now. I’d laugh til the cows came home if they beat Dallas this weekend.
They traded Lloyd because Tebow isn’t hitting anyone anyway. He needs blockers, not receivers.
Defense we got. Supposed to win championships so we will see over the final 10 games if stopping the run- and nobody runs on us- forcing teams to pass, will be effective. So far yes it has been enough apart from the Cows and that was 4 winning games ago. Those guys did not beat us with their running game. Secondary upgrades have been substantial and effective, so far so good. Since the Cows, our second game, we have improved substantially. Would you trade Rogers for Clements? Didn’t think so. How about Bowman for Spikes? Naw, not really.
9er run defense:

Never mind our #2 rank in yards allowed per game, zero rushing TDs this year, no 100 yard rusher since Ray Ratto was a skinny, happy motherfucker.

Read on Grant’s site (PD blog) one guy said we need to have a game against the Browns like we had against Tampa. WTF? That sounds like an invitation for some shin kicking don’t you think? Its crazy how quickly one’s expectations change. I was hoping for 3-3 at the bye, and that was stealing a game vs Detroit. Their next 5 is a fairly decent test as well, but there’s no reason to think they can’t go 3-2 at worst. 8-3 with 5 out of 6 division games should be pretty calm sailing. 4-2 out of those 6 and 11-5 is emminently doable.
Back from DC. Had a blast. Gross Rexman is getting blasted in DC for not having a clue regarding all the picks he’s thrown. As in they are all mistakes, but not necessarily his mistakes.
