We seem to be in the holding pattern of 1 win, 2 losses as this bland flavorless season continues it’s slow march to oblivion.
Looks like the 1985 team of Jimmy Davenport is safe in the knowledge that they will continue to be the one and only 100 loss team in the 144 year history of the NY/SF Gothams/Giants.
I mean, 5 more wins out of 21 games shouldn’t be that hard. Right?

I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

Brutal scheduling. Cubs are off today before road game at Coors Tuesday. Giants game started 530 here, went on for 3 hours and they have to fly back and play at home tonight. The Nats were in AZ for afternoon game and probably got to SF before Giants did.
That was their 3rd and last 3 city road trip of season so far. Cubs have had exactly zero of them per Slush.

Despite V’s weird LU, I am looking for the Giants to make major strides on this homestand. We’ve won 4 of the last 5 games and it’s our time to go into overdrive and kick some Washington ass. Overall, the Giants’ offense has been solid, ranking 11th in OPS behind the exploits of free agency signing Arraez and our breakout star Schmitt, along with Lee.
Pitching is the question mark. Unbelievable as that may seem. Regardless, we are playing at our ballpark – a big, big advantage. After finishing 17th in rotation ERA and fourth in bullpen ERA last season, the Gmen have dropped to 24th and 18th, respectively, so far this season. None of our freaking starters has a sub-4 ERA and only one of our healthy regular relievers a sub-2.5 mark. In a word, our pitching “SUCKS!”
We need a bounce back and this homestand is an opportunity to make some hay, insofar as getting back to .500 again.
