Shanahan does deserve credit for rallying the troops for that game, and for designing a solid game plan. He even threw on 1st down on 1st and goal, and a play action pass on 2nd and goal for touchdowns.
Course the next time in the red zone Shanny went his usual conservative route and he nearly killed Jones. Kyle has to figure out that if we can’r run between the 20s, it ain’t gonna work on the goal line.

To win this game I think they need a couple of takeaways and to win the time of possession decisively. Kyle needs to stay aggressive for 4 quarters and not go conservative if they get a lead which is what he did in the 3rd quarter against the Rams.
The line is shockingly only 3.5 Bucs.
After what happened in the Rams game, anything is possible.

This is definitely a rubber hits the road game whoever makes the most mistakes probably loses. i am interested in seeing if we have the same spark like last week. That really was a special game. On the road though I don’t see us taking this one.

This Rookie RB Skattabo really reminds me of 2023 CMC. They are the same height and Skattabo is just 5lb heavier, but he runs angry and with burst and a will to not be denied.
That was vintage 2023 CMC, but he just hasn’t regained that level of performance so far this year.
CMC needs a breakout running game, hopefully it happens today.

Our running game should improve when Kittle returns as well. TB blitzed a lot and our OL looked feeble at best trying to handle it. So far Robinson has been near invisible spelling CMc.
Our run defense looked mediocre and Fred’s absence will only make it worse.

Rookie RB Jordan James is a healthy scratch every week and he’s on the 53, maybe we need to see if he’s better than B Rob?

What bothers me is that both Warner and Bosa may never be the same again. I have never heard of a broken and dislocated ankle before and i think this is Bosa’s 3rd acl so who knows. You can throw Kittle in that mix also. It is time to get younger.

Found myself wondering throughout the game why #27 looked lost for the majority of the game.
Didn’t realize Ja’yir Brown was tied to Fred’s injury until after the game. He obviously was shaken and it affected his play.
Losing Fred isn’t going to be a simple bump in the road for us. Major shakeup coming if they have any chance at making a playoff run.
Curious to see whether Dee moves inside and what becomes of Nick Martin’s playing time now? The secondary is young and DL counted on Fred heavily as they’re young too.

We will probably nickel and dime our way with FA’s through the season just like we’ve been doing. That might just be a smart move we can throw the youngsters out there and really see what they have. Depending on the playoff picture maybe do a little trading but I kind of doubt that. If we do some trading I hope it’s for future draft picks because we have to take stock with our oline and it looks like some major defensive positions too. Being a long-time Niner fan this situation is just another brick in the wall.
