Here We Sit, Broken-Hearted . . .

Waiting for shit to drop. BA is in camp and training, but the negotiations are ongoing. People freak out at every post BA makes via Insta or whatever but it all is worth the ether it is printed on. I still think the deal gets done. Or worst case, he plays on his current deal and we kick the can down the road for next year. I’d rather have him happy and signed, but this goes as all these go. Way too long and way too damaging.

Just want to update the page here.

On a sad note, took my dog to the vet on Monday night because she was having problems breathing and coughing. I thought it was the flipped stomach thing big dogs sometimes get, but it turned out to be a large tumor in her chest that was squeezing all all her organs. She’s 12, but was perfectly fine Monday morning, but by 1:00 am yesterday she was struggling to breathe. The vet recommended putting her down as she said Maggie wouldn’t make it through the night. So fucking sad. She was the sweetest dog.

Long may you run, Maggie.

Tough to lose a family member Chuck, feel for ya buddy. My wife and I have a registered charity rescue, we’ve lost our fair share of amazing dogs too, never easy.

Yeah, I’ve had dogs most of my life but man these last 2 losses were hard.

chuck- For those of us who love animals not only as companions but also the way they see the world and share their time with us. I don’t believe there is any truer love to be found. It is a loss so profound and personal that grieving is the only way to get through it. Remembering how happy Maggie was and all the simple pleasures she enjoyed helps and are all part of the grieving process. Stay strong friend.

Thanks. That means a lot. She was just a great dog. The fact it was so sudden is what is so hard to take. She was perfectly fine most of monday and then it just got real bad.

Our other lab was almost 15 and she was ready to go. We all got to say our goodbyes when I took her in. This was just so sudden and unexpected.
