Game Day! Must Win Time

Hate to say it but even at this stage of the season, this is a must-win game vs the Cards.  Mainly based on the rest of the schedule in front of this game. With a streak of bad luck, this team could go 1-6 for 9-7. Shit, even Atlanta is starting to play up to their preseason expectations. I think we should  be able to eke out 3 more wins, even with the daunting schedule, and that would put us at 11-5. Win the division? Not sure. But that game in Seattle to close the season looks like it may decide the division. Lots of football between now and then.

Thing is though, we are getting slowly decimated with injuries. Kittle needs to be ready down the stretch, and so does E Sanders. The passing game totally revolves around those two guys. As does the run game. Yes, the defense is playing out of its mind, but even they are getting picked off one by one. Our depth along the line is being tested with Blair is out with an ACL tear, and of course so is Kwon Alexander.

So, we need this win to stop the bleeding, but also to get our division record on track again.

Playing here, we should do better than two weeks ago, so I;m thinking 28-17, Niners.

STAY HEALTHY!

We *should* win today. But there are no gimmes.

  2. unca_chuck says:

Yep. Sanders is in. Gould, Kittle, Staley and Breida are out.

  3. unca_chuck says:

    Can’t let them run wild.

  4. Kyle R. Murrray says:

Just have the Whiners play their backups like Chuck wants and I’ll accelerometer my ass all over them

  5. unca_chuck says:

    Prolly lose this one.

  6. unca_chuck says:

    Nice stand by the D.

  7. alleykat69 says:

What a puss FG kickers are!
I’ll give Gould the initial game off, but not 2 games off!! Shit it’s not like he gets hit, alittle extra whirlpool time should of done the job for this week!!

  8. alleykat69 says:

Freaking 2 pass interference calls on Sherman already! Shit Cardinals are making it look easy right now!

  9. unca_chuck says:

Wow. 3 plays in the 1st quarter. D doing nothing.

  10. unca_chuck says:

    Catch the fucking ball.

  11. unca_chuck says:

I’m really getting tired of these drops. Stockton said we’ve lost 150 yards so far.

Fuck. Wide open for the drop.

  12. unca_chuck says:

We look terrible. We need quicker passes

  13. unca_chuck says:

Losing another challenge. These guys have to wake up.

  14. Grumpy Guy says:

How much difference do Kittle and Kwon make?

    This much.

  15. unca_chuck says:

Lucky it ain’t 21-0. Offense is too slow.

  16. alleykat69 says:

D is gassed,Arizona “OWNS TIME OF POSSESSION!!”
Shanny better rip them a new one at half time’!
Shit 10 plays 2 fucking yards are you kidding me?

  17. unca_chuck says:

    There you go.

Immy G with the whiff. That’s a missed TD.

  18. unca_chuck says:

Finally again. A 4th down stop.

  19. AZ Lardinals says:

We’ve decided to ruin your so-called Super Bowl season. We’re still your uncle while Seattle is your DADDY.

  20. unca_chuck says:

Bullshit play there. Take a fucking shot.

At least we get the ball after the break.

  21. alleykat69 says:

As shitty as they played, it’s still a one score game. They get the ball to start 2nd half, so fucking move it right down the field and score!!

  22. unca_chuck says:

Yep. We’ll see how the offense responds. They need to get a long drive and points. The D needs more rest.

  23. unca_chuck says:

Too many penalties today. Sanders is hurting.

  24. alleykat69 says:

Damm that’s how you do it!
Take that 2nd half kickoff and shove it down their throats for the score!! 2TD’s for Dwelley go figure..

  25. unca_chuck says:

Dee Ford out. Need pressure regardless.

  26. unca_chuck says:

Don’t know WTF Jimmy saw there, but these penalties are killer. RIchberg got 2 non-existent holding calls.

    • Grumpy Guy says:

Yeah lots of questionable borderline calls today. A couple on AZ too. This is not the “let em play” crew, that’s for sure.

  27. Grumpy Guy says:

Shit. just when we were about to put them away, Jimmy has his brain fart of the day.

    Need a defensive play now.

  28. unca_chuck says:

We may run out of players.

  29. Grumpy Guy says:

Game is going to go down to the wire now.

  30. unca_chuck says:

There you go. 3 and out, and seal this game.

  31. Grumpy Guy says:

Deebo’s injury looked scary. landed awkwardly on his neck.

  32. Grumpy Guy says:

Last big play today may win it.

  33. unca_chuck says:

So much for that. 8 yards a play for AZ>

  34. Irish Kevin says:

The WR’s definitely got yelled at for the Seattle game

  35. Grumpy Guy says:

    Shit.

  36. unca_chuck says:

    Bosa with the whiff.

  37. Grumpy Guy says:

Not going to be ANY easy games in our division for the next few years.

  38. alleykat69 says:

Never seen a QB that leaves his receivers more vulnerable then Jimmy G.And he’s thrown way to many throws to high are behind them where all they can do is tip them and they get picked😫

  39. Grumpy Guy says:

    Last big play… I hope. 31 seconds.

  40. alleykat69 says:

Yeah that backwards lateral TD cost a lot of money in football bets who had the Cards to cover!!😂

  41. unca_chuck says:

Spread was 10.5 so it shouldn’t have mattered.

  42. unca_chuck says:

Crazy Shit. Jimmy G has some balls at least. He keeps chucking and ducking out there.

He still throws some shakey shit, but again we had a few drops out there. Another game where we got banged up. Sanders, Moseley, and Ford look to be the biggest losses. Although Witherspoon did come back.

  43. unca_chuck says:

    Bears FG woes continue!!

  44. alleykat69 says:

Tell you one thing Jared Goff is a poor man’s Mitch Trubisky, and he even makes more coin!
Both these guy’s suck! But given the organization’s and McVay against Nagy it makes Goff look even worse…

  45. unca_chuck says:

Miss # 2 !! I want the Bears to win, but this is funny shit.

  46. unca_chuck says:

No kidding. Goff looks gunshy and confused.

  47. alleykat69 says:

Yeah I was just as stupid and confused, thinking he was going to be good I drafted him in fantasy.Lucky I was able to pickup Kirk Cousins and basically have Gott rotting on my bench. He’s like having a Todd Gurley in his 1st season when dumbshit coach Jeff Fisher never used him and got fired because of that ineptitude coaching..

  48. unca_chuck says:

Funny i drafted Matt Ryan as my starter and Lamar Jackson as my backup. The good news is I’ve started Jackson the whole season. The bad news is the rest of my team (Gurley out, and sucking Barkley out and sucking) Juju without a QB, i’ve gotten little from everyone else.

  49. Winder says:

2020 draft priority is finding someone who can contain Murray. Congrats to the Niners for fighting like they did, Huge win.

  50. unca_chuck says:

As fast as we are, we still need more speed at LB. They threw a ton of weird shit at us formation-wise, and misdirection plays out of those formations.

Bosa got caught more than a few times biting on read-option fakes for big gains by Murray. Left the edge wide open.

  51. unca_chuck says:

The Bears are a mess. The Rams are shooting themselves in the feet all game and the Bears can’t get a 1st down.

  52. unca_chuck says:

Now the Rams are using a shotgun. Ouch. Amazing how bad the Rams look.

  53. unca_chuck says:

As bad as the Rams are, the Bears are so bad, they pulled the Biscuit.

    • NJ49er says:

      Phantom Tua-biscuit-hipular-degeneritis I think Chuck?
      Could be wrong, but… that’s what I’m thinking 😀
Probably threw it out with the Daki-daki-pregame-twisties.

      • NJ49er says:

        History will ask…..
Where were we when Chicago coughed up extra Picks to move up 1 slot for him?
And we insisted on using their Pick on Solomon in return?
Easily the most ridiculous deal ever done for 2 Top 5 head-scratchers.
But, at least we got extra Picks for our shortsightedness I guess?

Gonna be tough to outdo that transaction.

      • Grumpy Guy says:

At the time, NJ, I was pissed that we missed out on Myles Garrett. Not So Much now…

  54. unca_chuck says:

No shit. At least Solly is gonna stay in the league. He may have been picked too high, but he’s gonna play.

The Biscuit could very well wash out, or be a full time backup, by next year.

  55. Winder says:

It just goes to show the college game doesn’t mean much of anything when you hit the pros. It’s the it factor that’s mostly hidden that brings success for the young guys. If Deebo can stay healthy he just might be one with the it factor. Both Dante and Solly were supposed to but I guess it’s hard to tell since both Lynch and KS missed it and I think they both know good football players. Peters and Mayhew are a big part of that also and they are respected in the league so I guess crapshoot is a good work for the draft.

  56. unca_chuck says:

WRs and CBs I think are the hardest to gauge. But just about every can’t miss guy has been a miss. From QBs to D linemen ot the O line. Trubisky and Wentz looked great until they didn’t. RG III and Kaepernick were the new thing until, they weren’t.

Running back seems to be the easiest to draft. But they are rarely taken very high anymore. But you look at Josh Jacobs of the Raiders, and teams might start looking back to getting a running back near the top. He is killing it for the Raiders and is a big part of their 6-4 record.

  57. alleykat69 says:

Pettis is so deep in Shanny’s doghouse even a dog is not allowed to visit him!!
Shanny’s steamed at his work ethics and his drops when given a chance to help the club..
So I’m sure he’s bummed at drafting this bum so high and would probably be inactive most weeks if they weren’t so thin at the position!
He’s totally turned into that other #1 bust WR Jenkins(forgot 1st name but who cares) redux..

  58. Winder says:

WR’s do seem to be the hardest to figure. I don’t know why that is. Petis seems to have all the talent he needs to succeed so I guess it’s mostly his desire and drive that’s holding him back. But, he’s had wakeup calls since TC and things don’t seem to be getting any better. Maybe he’s got some diva in him that makes him not do the things that are expected of him.

  59. unca_chuck says:

If Deebo had Pettis’ size, he’d be Odell Beckham III. Deebo is all heart. Pettis is no heart. Hurd I think will be great. He just has to get on the field. Same with Sanders. He’s so damn small though.

    • NJ49er says:

1st time I saw Deebo I saw Anquan.
      Still see it that way.
      Tough and determined.
Not words I’d use on Pettis.

  60. alleykat69 says:

The great thing about Deebo is he’s fearless and will not shy away from contact going across the middle. If anything he likes to punish DB’s which is impressive, but not always the right thing to do to survive in the NFL.But you can’t argue his heart for sure, something Pettis doesn’t have..

  61. Winder says:

Pettis has made some pretty nice plays but they are few and spread out. He must have done something that really got under KS’s skin because to me it seems he is still pretty raw and could still clean up whatever it is he is doing.

  62. rtfirefly says:

9-1, baby! Now that we’re back to pocket passers the next four out of five, we can hop aboard the Bosa Express® again!

I love the guitar in this:

  63. NJ49er says:

And the hits just keep on coming….
New Training Staff having their collective hands full I guess?

  64. unca_chuck says:

Yeah, it didn’t look good at the time. Just have to hope these guys are gonna be healthy when we get close to the playoffs. No idea if Kwon is in the cards, but I think Ford should be back.

  65. Winder says:

Notice how fast the season’s going by when your having fun. It is amazing to me that we are in the position we are in since our team is pretty beat up

  66. Winder says:

    Fucking idiot.

Fox Sports’ Andy Slater reports Mark Walton was arrested Tuesday morning.
Walton is accused of punching his five-week pregnant girlfriend “several times in the face and head” 24 hours after discovering he was the father. He was arrested Tuesday morning in South Florida and promptly waived by the Dolphins. It’s Walton’s fourth arrest in the past year following his three violations this offseason. It would obviously spell the end of Walton’s career if the allegations are proved to be true.

  67. Winder says:

    i just love this guy.

    • alleykat69 says:

Yeah Winder..Fred Rogers was one amazing man!
Here’s alittle trivia for all.Tom Hanks who’s playing him in ( perfect choice I might add) in his upcoming movie, just found out on Ancestry dot.com that he is related to him( a 6th cousin) how wild and appropriate is that!!

    • Winder says:

rt- I was a capt. Kangaroo fan too. He was on tv when I was a kid. Mr. Rogers didn’t happen until 1968 when quite a few of my generation were having kids. I thought his show was good for real little ones to see since character begins at a very young age.

  68. unca_chuck says:

Hey, it was only Walton’s 4th arrest this year. Possession, weapons charges, domestic violence, and this new one. Poor guy can’t catch a break.

I’m kidding of course. People get their nipples in a twist over some things, but this stuff? Naaah.

  69. unca_chuck says:

Yeah, Cap’t Kangaroo (and Mr. Greenjeans) fan myself.

then again we had Charlie and Humphrey, and Cap’t Satellite here in the Bay Area when I was a kid in the late 60s. Good times.

    New thread is up.
