Super Bore LIII

Well, that, along with all the rest of the spectacle, was underwhelming at best, the worst Super Bowl of the Super Bowl era in my thoughts to say the least, was that. On paper, the Rams did little to nothing. 9 punts? 260 yards of offense? They did more by half time in most games. 3 points? Aggravating to me at least was the totally conservative play calling by McVay and company. Every first down saw a run play. I think they had 6 first downs heading into that 4th quarter. Again, that’s usually one DRIVE let alone 3 quarters of play. To combat this, they kept doing the same thing. It wasn’t until the FG drive in the 3rd quarter that they threw on 1st down. No quick passes that would have slowed NE’s suddenly stout pass rush. But the Pats played aggresive on defense, and the Rams were never able to counter.

NE wasn’t much better what with Brady throwing crap around most of the day including a 1st quarter pick, and a ton of late passes and a whopping 71.4 rating. They ran very well late though and ended up with and a grand total of 1254 on the ground.

The Rams defense bent all day, but by the end of the 3rd quarter it was still 3-3. Zzzzzzzzz. Brady had led a few promising drives, but the Rams were able to keep them at bay with the help of a missed FG and a rattled Brady. But if you punt the ball to Brady 9 fucking times, eventually he’ll do something right, and that was pretty much it as the Pats scored a TD late and Goff threw a stupid pick on 2nd down trying to lead the comeback.

Insult to injury was the missed FG at the end to at least avoid being tied with the most inept offense in the Super Bowl era

What’s the definition of insanity Chuck?
    The results were pure Vegas.
    The Goodell NFL.
    Next comes the Vegas Raiders.
    Ho-Fukn-Humjob.
We should, at least, get a reach-around from these Billionaires’ Bimbos.

  2. NJ49er says:

Wes Welker coming aboard, to Coach WRs, is actually something to take notice of perhaps.
    Trent Taylor should benefit.
Along with a potential Draftee or 2.

  3. Wes Welkerr says:

I’ll make sure the only receivers that pornhub QB can throw his balls to are his girlfriend.

  4. Super BORE says:

The one thing that could be possibly be more boring than this Super Bowl is watching Chuck salsa dance at his favorite cantina in Puerto Rico. YAWN

  5. No-Fear says:

Is this Snowflake blog still even awake? Get rid of libtard Chuck and get a real righteous, God-fearing man like Trump to take over this blog. You left wing imbeciles are as dull as a doorknob

  6. unca_chuck says:

Oh sandy. Such a sad life.

  7. No-Fear says:

You’re a left wing loon and drunk again. You’ll have a hangover for two weeks

This blog is a graveyard. Just clicking on the Niners Snorever link puts me to sleep. Yawwwwwwwn.

Thx winder. God knws i ain’t here for the trolls

  10. 12th Man says:

Looks like Antonio Brown may really be out and could be had for something far less than a #2, I would go for it.

  11. Donald J. Trumps says:

Now I understand why this blog has been so quiet lately and Chuck went on a supposed trip to the Bahamas or whatever. You guys were all at my EPIC rally in El Paso along with the rest of the country and you’ve joined No Fear in your idolizing of me. This is TREMENDOUS.

  12. Uncaa_Chuck says:

Great rally, Mr. President! I was able to grab some paper towels on the way to Puerto Rico and threw them at the little people while I was sipping margaritas.

  13. Spitbloood says:

Goddamn, Chuck, come back home soon and do something about this troll who comes up with all of these different acts under different names. I’m not me, I assure you. Trust me on that. Really.

We’ll get ‘em next year, guys. Good luck outing that ridiculous troll that is most definitely not me. Go Warriors

  14. No_Feear says:

It’s not me either. Or is it? Is it Skeebers? Nah, it’s Spitty. Or Bullit. Fuck, maybe it’s the resurrection of Nipper. Unsolved Mysteries on an otherwise lackluster blog. Stay tuned!

You are a failure of a troll and I started it all when Chuck introduced me to the Splash as the OG she-male troll of the century. It is I who is the troll of all trolls. Giggle.

Lol, I doubt anyone cares. nothing of importance going on anyway. Maybe it’s time for some music videos. Happy Valentines Day

I left my heart in SF Winder…
Hoping Santa Clara revives my appreciation, for our winning ways of 9ers football, before I’m too fukn old to appreciate the good old days 😀

  16. Winder says:

NJ- Maybe it’s just blind optimism but I think we will see some of the fruits of our labor this coming year. If not then it’s back to the drawing board.

  17. Winder says:

NJ- I fell in love with this team way before either Bill or Eddy showed up. But you are right about the history. Before commercialism the Niners were a bunch of hard-nosed football players that played the game the way it was supposed to be played. Once they got in your blood that was all she wrote.

    • Winder says:

around the 18 minute mark shows a pretty common mud game of kezar. Mud and seagulls.

      • unca_chuck says:

Yeah those were the days. The field resembled a quagmire. The bathrooms were worse!

Shit, my son is stoked he got to see games at the Stick. Not that I blame him seeing how things are going at the strip mall stadium.

    • 12th Man says:

I know I for one miss the Stick. It may have been a bit run down, but it was a real football stadium for the fans, not a sanitized version of a football stadium for the business set.

  18. unca_chuck says:

Yup. I loved the pullout side. On a sunny day, nothing beat it. Sat through a lot of rainy games in those seats though.

What is aggravating is you look at the new stadiums around the league and they are majestic awesome looking designs that integrate well with their surroundings.

Ours looks like a 4th grade erector set project stuck in a n empty parking lot.

    • NJ49er says:

Not to mention the antiseptic opulence of Corporate sponsorship.
The game is about PSLs and ad revenue.
      Avg Joe go home.
About ready to pack in my fandom.
      Total BS.

      • 12th Man says:

Funny you should say NJ, had to pay this seasons tickets today, rip off.

      • Winder says:

NJ- the money involved with the NFL is totally obscene, it’s pretty obvious the more penalties called the more advertising gets shown. Not only does it wreck a game but it makes it unwatchable at times. Anyway I can’t really bitch because the only thing I spend with the NFL is my time.
12th- I guess they want their money in by the end of Feb. it sounds like. Still I would have a hard time tuning in season tix if I had them already. There is still nothing better than being there on gameday.

  19. NJ49er says:

LA gets to the SB in year 1?
    Pats win again?
    Think Officiating is impartial?
It looks a bit too phony to me.

  20. Winder says:

The stick was great for football, baseball not so much.

    • 12th Man says:

Froze my ass off many a time at the Stick, Winder, loved every minute. Never saw a baseball game there though and was glad to see the diamond leave for PacBell park I think it was first called. Did see a baseball game there though, a great venue for it.

  21. Donald J..Trump says:

I am going to build a WALL between Great America and Levi’s Stadium and make Niner fans pay for it.

  22. unca_chuck says:

    Build yourself a clue, skippy.

  23. unca_chuck says:

Winder, that video is great. Love seeing Brodie in his prime. Too bad he played on so many lousy teams through the 60s. Crazy is how far back he dropped in the original version of the shotgun.

Football season at the Stick was usually much nicer weather. At least for the first half of the season.

Baseball was invariably cold, day or night, sunny or cloudy. McCovey might have had 600 himself but for hitting into the wind coming off the mudflats before they enclosed it.

  24. Berger says:

Thanks for the video Winder. I did not realize how good JD Smith was for us. Watching Lenny Moore for the Colts was awesome, even if he was for the other team. Reminded me of watching Roger Craig!

  25. Donald J Trumpf says:

You guys have been TREMENDOUSLY busy dwelling in the past while your team flounders in the present in the South Bay. NOT GOOD

  26. Winder says:

might as well throw another one out there

  27. unca_chuck says:

Yup. Some teams still didn’t have dedicated kickers in their lineups.

  28. Winder says:

A lot of these guys had day jobs and worked the off-season because the pay wasn’t very good. They loved the game.

  29. unca_chuck says:

Yeah, I vaguely remember Leo Nomellini was a wrestler in the offseason.
