So Much for that Prediction

If we didn’t fumble a punt, fumble on the 4, give up a pick 6, given up a 98 yard KO return, or sleepwalk through the entire first half, we woulda had that one! Hah!

But seriously, this scrappy team hasn’t thrown in the towel. They may blow assignments and give up 50 yard swing passes like I blow my nose, but we actually got pressure on Wilson in the 2nd half for 3 sacks, and sorta made it a game. Till the 100 yard pick 6 kinda slowed our roll. Anyhow, as usual, there were some good things to come out of the shellacking.

Dante Pettis had another nice game to back up last week’s performance.  Jeff Wilson Jr ran 15 times for 61 yards, and had 8 catches for 73 more, and except thr that fucing fumble, would have been even better. Truth be told, that was a 50/50 call, and since it is the 49ers, well, we get 49, they get 51 and the call. Ties are supposed to go to the offensive player, as the fail mary was supposed to tell us.

Anyhow, Big Dick Nick stretched things out for a fairly monstrous performance and went 30-48 for 414 yards, a couple TDs, and that godawful 100 yard 14 point swing. So, like Jerry said, every silver lining has a touch of grey.

Hey, we are still number one, and the team hasn’t quit. But I sure wish Robert Saleh would.

We have a habit of screwing up at the very worse moment. I think we can even call it a trend. I am glad some of the younger Niners are showing some promise because they certainly need to. We need to clean up the bullshit, hold onto the ball, and learn to stop somebody. Scrappy is a good word to describe our team but that only goes so far, playing good football for 60 minutes would really be a plus. I don’t see how Saleh survives after this year.

For all the injuries to the offense, at least they do some good. The defense is a train wreck. Once again a simple fade route gets left completely open for a 50 yard gain. Screen passes go for 15 a pop. And getting schemed with an LB on a WR demands than there’s safety help over the top. Nope. Beyond that, it was a clear push-off by Lockett, and Wilson didn’t fumble.

    But, Seattle.

By the end of the 1st half, RW had completed 4 passes. 3 of them were touchdowns.

Hey, we can’t win ’em all. Right after I get done singing Baker Mayfield’s praises, he goes out and has a Nate Peterman day.

Just saw a two play sequence: Play 1 Mayfield throws perfect deep ball, run for a 70 yd. TD. Offensive Holding oops. The Very Next Play: Mayfield throws good deep ball, run for 80 yd. TD… but receiver is hit at the 2, loses fumble into the end zone.

That’s later, when either play would’ve pulled the Browns to within a TD in a 2nd half comeback bid, long after Mayfield’s Peterman-esque start. Some days you just can’t win for losing.

No shit. My fantasy football QB was young sir Alex (don;t ask) and when he got hurt I needed to snag someone. I got Curtis Mayfield a week too late.

Chuck both of those videos are fantastic. Never saw the Dead one before.

Doing just fine RT – Suck all the way at this point.

The 1st Pick is a valuable commodity if Lynch is willing, (and able) to make Deals.
LA Rams wouldn’t be where they are, if not for some over zealous morons (Snyder) willing to go all in on 1 Pick.
Watch this go the route of Alex if we do get it. No QBs worth dealing for and, subsequently, no buyers.
That would be the icing on the SF-Troop Cake for me.

Sure….it would be nice to have the Pick of the proverbial litter and all but….
Do some homework and make some moves for extra Picks.
        Bosa? Who knows?
Charles Haley wasn’t a 1st overall Pick. Neither was Ronnie, Jerry or Joe.
Talent is out there if you spend some time and effort to find it on the cheap.

They can’t afford to pass on Bosa. Here’s my new favorite song , , ,

Wow. Kyle Nelson, our long snapper, was suspended for 10 games due to PEDs.

Wow, that is killer. Hopefully she ventures out of the Chicago area. Would love to see her.

    New thread is up.
